Americans prefer Hersheys. 😘

Chocolate brands you buy at the groceries have high levels of cadmium, two neurotoxic metals that are linked to cancer, chronic disease, or reproductive and developmental issues, especially in children, a new study found.Jul 31, 2024

Well, you say cadmium, what's the other metal?

If you want to avoid any issues with chocolate. You have to find a brand that contains high levels of flavonoids and low levels of cadmium, heavy metals like lead.

There's no lead in chocolate, and I'm sceptical about Cadmium.

There is. When cocoa is fermented the bean absorbs lead when it is being processed. It depends on how it is processed that determines the lead levels. But you might not have to worry UK probably gets it's cocoa beans from South Ghana Africa, which has stricter regulations than South American beans

Ritter Sport is a healthy brand of chocolate, but chocolate like Lindt is not.
