Looking for a movie title

I am looking for a movie about a young girl, maybe 12, 13. Anyhow she lives in an orphanage or an all-girls school. In the world they live, it rains all the time. They have never seen the sun. Everyone always picks on this one girl and this same girl is always talking about the sun and how she believes it will come out one day. The other girls lock this girl in a closet. The day they lock her in the closet, the sun comes out and she only sees a little sliver of it through a tiny window. This movie is pretty old, I would guess in the 70's.

I believe the movie you are looking for a is a short film called "All summer in a Day." The sun only comes out every 7 years. I don't recall it being an all-girls school though.
