Dreams

Ok I've been thinking when we go to sleep and the reason we have such strange, happy, scary etc dreams is that our soul might leave our body?!? I know this might sound strange but It might be a possobility and that our soul travels to other places and worlds . thats where our dreams come from because were actually there. Its just a thought....

Feelings in dreams tend to be those we are unaware of in waking life.

People used to believe, that dreams are the messages, sent from Gods.

Even today, there isnt really a full explanation on why we dream.
Some people say dreams are secret desires, some say we dream what we worry about...

Its possible that if there is such a thing as a soul, it leaves the body - everything is possible, just not so probable.

Dreams are all the above...but some are just silly....I dream all the time, and look up the symbolisms......Kinda cool how they relate to my subconscious and thoughts that are unexpressed.

I think these worlds are our subsconscient, and inconscient minds, that are more espressive when our conscient mind is not there. Not that a "dream world" does not exist, but this world would be made out of our own feelings, emotions, and physical senses. What about the "real" world, how it is different from the dream world ? For me it is the same thing... it has emotions, feelings, and physical senses. Of couse in the real world senses are better, and are not so clouded like in the dreams, but thats irrelevant, the reality of the world is not defined by the precision of our senses, if we are blind the world still exists.

Dreams are like most you said, A look into the Unconscious/Subconscious. Dreams are a way we let out our repressed feelings and memories or act out our desires that we can not in our waking life. Dreams help us release our inner thoughts and feelings in a safe and healthy way.

Hmm I heard that somewhere before RG, just can't remember where sounds a tad like Freud

Not only Freud, but also Jung.....(sp?).........Freud is more sex is in everything...

Just as there are gross/macroscopic life processes we need to tend to in order to stay healthy (eg, eating), so there are subtler life processes which require attention (eg information processing). Dreams are what we call our perception of these subtler life processes.

The "contents" of dreams are what we are aware of, whether sensory, emotional, mental and/or, perhaps, spiritual.

Morpheus, the god of dreams from greek mythology would fashion them for people based on what the gods wanted them to see, learned that when we were comparing the matrix in philosophy ✅

And personally I don't believe in any of this stuff. Because if you think about it, if this stuff is true than you would have to dream every single night, your desires and feelings never stop, so therefore you would have to dream everytime you slept imo.

And I heard somewhere, most likely not true, but you only dream in the last quarter of sleep if you sleep over a certain amount of time. 😬
So therefore they can't be desires or anything like that, but are most likely just a replay of something you've see or done before, and are just remembering it now. 🙂

I look forward to dreams...I had fascinating ones EVERY night...though there are some beliefs that talk about in your dreaming state, that the soul is leaving your body and going into other realities...or dimensions

I have realized though quite rare for me, that if a have a repeating dream, maybe 3 times...that it's come true.

^^ true. I sometimes have repeat dreams throughout the years , freaky but cool I guess... they must mean something

I am similar - i look forward to dreams a lot. My dreams tend to be interesting. I have a big dreamcatcher above my bed.

Thats one of the things that wherever im staying longer time, i take with me - my dreamcatcher is VERY important for me.

I don't know much about dream catchers..aren't they more Native American...What is the purpose of having one???..Is it to attract certain types of dreams?

i've found that dreams are only givin to few!!!

i had a dream earlier this week. csi theme. nick and gil were investigating this double homicide case of two young women. early 20's. both shot in the back. face down. inside some apartment i think. and the strange thing is, tommy lee of motley crue is the suspect. but, gil and nick have no evidence, yet, to chage him. *well...lee is most certainly living up to the name marissa and i gave him. lmao XD*
