R.I.P. Moustapha Akkad

Hey, gang. I'm still removed from KMC, but I figured I owed it to all my brothers in blood to pass along some sad news. Moustapha Akkad, the producer of the "Halloween" franchise, died this afternoon, from wounds suffered during today's/yesterday's terrorist bombings in Jordan. Mr. Akkad's daughter was also killed, along with 55 other resident Jordanians.

So, just thought I'd pass that along, given it's all someone we know of, or atleast SHOULD, especially if you're a fan of the franchise.

Pitiful. You are the only person in the world that didn't like Halloween. The first 2 were VERY GOOD. I figured you might have gotten some taste by now, wrong.....

i didn't like any of them, they just didn't appeal to me. and jayy, i'm sure there is more than one person in the world who didn't like the movie stop following my around telling me i dont have a taste in movies, especially when you want Jeepers Creepers 3 and Final Destination 3. i just thought it wasn't that good. but i still feel for Moustapha Akkad, as i said, noone should die like that. come one people, this is a thread to mourn Moustapha, not question my taste in movies

I'm very sorry to hear Moustapha died today.

The reason we are mourning him here though, is because he produced a movie that we love.

I'm with you. I've only seen the first one but to me that was very average. After all the hype I had heard about it, I thought it would be good. Decent film at best. I liked some of the shots though.
