I don't like that fact that my respective country (Britain) barely sells any of the kick-ass marvel comics and i have to scrape my knowledge from the Internet and what the members say.
bullsh!t... i'm in Scotland and i have 2 decent comic stores in my local(ish) area.... get online, or look through the yellow pages for your nearest "Forbidden Planet"
I go to the biggest Forbidden Planet in UK (the one in London), and it doesn't give enough of the titles by other publishers that aren't the big 2. If they equalled out the layout or made an obvious space for the alternative publisher comics, people would find that quite a lot of the titles are decent... but of course that'll never happen, cos' everyones brainwashed to Marvel/DC
The problem with the UK in comparision to US, is that theres a lack of comic stores cos' its such a niche thing over here. People have to travel so far to get to stores and its not worth it sometimes... whereas US theres always one v.close, and they sell them in newstands... you gotta go speciallist in UK tho
but in UK we got those Panini collector books which are about 2 years behind the current run... they produce 3 standard issues in one book for £2.40... whereas a $2.99 single would be £2.00 in most comic stores

Forbidden planet is alright but i prefer "the travelling man" at the moment.
Where are you? I'm in Edinburgh.

There's a store in Edinburgh called "Deadhead Comics"... they do more of the alternative stuff... but it's not as big as FP
