Namor with Trident of Neptune goes through the Gauntlet

http://www.marvunapp.com/Appendix/neptunep.htm

Powers/Abilities: Neptune possesses the conventional attributes of an Olympian god. Like all Olympians he is immortal: he has not aged since reaching adulthood and cannot die by any conventional means. He is immune to all Earthly diseases and is resistant to conventional injury. If wounded, his godly life force would enable him to recover with superhuman speed. It would take an injury of such magnitude that it dispersed a major portion of his bodily molecules to cause him physical death. Even then, it may be possible for a god of equal power to revive him. Neptune possesses superhuman strength and his Olympian metabolism gives him far greater than human endurance at all physical activities. Neptune is one of the strongest of the Olympian gods, and can lift (press) 70 tons. Among the Olympian gods, his level of strength is matched only by those of Pluto and Ares, and exceeded only by those of Zeus and Hercules.

Neptune's extraordinary energy-wielding abilities are equaled among the Olympians only by those of Pluto and surpassed only by those of Zeus. Only a few of Neptune's many energy-wielding powers have as yet been depicted. Neptune can fire powerful force bolts from his hands, erect powerful, nearly impenetrable force fields, and create inter-dimensional apertures to enable him to transport himself from one dimension to another. He is a shape-shifter able to change his size, shape and form into that of other persons, animals, and objects. He can render himself invisible to mortals but his invisibility does not work on other Olympian gods, and possibly gods from other pantheons. He is also able to heal the injuries of living beings and transform beings into other shapes and forms (such as when he transformed a white stallion into a sea horse).

As the Olympian god of the sea, Neptune is amphibious, able to survive in water and air. He can also communicate with all forms of sea creatures and move at superhuman speeds while swimming.

Weapons: Neptune wields a 6' 5'' enchanted trident made for him by the Cyclopes, one-eyed giants who were trapped in Tartarus along with Neptune by Cronus (see comments). The trident is composed of Adamantine metal that is found in the Olympian dimension and is possessed of mystical properties. The trident allows Neptune to control any body of water. With the trident he is capable of the creation of water elementals, using water to speed ships and water vehicles, creating fog and storms of great intensity, causing tremendous tidal waves, and creating waves of water as transportation that propel him at fantastic speeds. Also, he can cause earthquakes by increasing water pressure.

All the fights happen above Arctic Ocean. There is ice for people to walk on.

How far does Namor get?

until #7

I'd say he begins to even out at Tempest.. Tempest can throw down, but probably not beat him physically, can do everything that staff can by himself, and he knows magic beyond that... Give Namor's better physical, fighting prowess and experience.. I'd give half to either side. He won't beat anyone past that, imo.

Get's to 7. Tempest would give him a good fight. Sentry seem to uber for Namor to pass just yet. I'd love to see him fight Thor when both have their weapons though. Thor would win it, but Namor would give him a fight.

THor wipes him out with lightning

oh wait, nvm. never mind. IGNORE MY PREVIOUS POST. I just saw that comic u posted of namor absorbing electricity.

I dont see Namor getting past wolverine. Jk

Can he drown sentry?? If so then he makes it to 8 or 9

This is tough. It would be a good fight with Tempest, but in the end i think Namor would prevail due to his experience and strength.

Question with Sentry is can he drown? And how strong exactly is he? I think if Namor can get him underwater, he may be able to pull off a victory. Someone has to give more info on Sentry.

Coming down to Thor, it could go either way. Both with magical weapons and have tussled before. Im gonna have to say 50/50 on that one. Although i do wonder if Thor can drown or suffer from extreme temperatures. Namor does get stronger with colder waters so....

Namor can really get as far as Surfer imo. Considering the magical nature of the trident, he doesnt have a bad chance of getting past Supes. Supes is faster and stronger, but with Namor in control of the waters, it could pose a huge distraction and give the opening for gutting Supes with the trident. If Namor makes it past Thor, this one could also go 50/50. All depending on how fast Superman can attack and do damage to Namor. And how well he'll be able to avoid the magical properties of the trident.

Why not the sacred armor as well, DarckCrawler?

Yeah, I forgot sacred armor.

Gimme a sec and I check it's stats from comics.

If namor learns to tap into the full power of the Trident he has more than enough takes to win against all.

Superman here belongs to the tougher guys list. What is he going to do against a mistical weapon on the level of Poseidon`s trident?

Thats right. Nothing.

Olympian who is back time to time.

Alright, Sacred Armor gives it's wearer protection of Magical Powers:

It also heals it's wearer (I'm gonna post a scan about this too)

(Namor I#37 - BTS) - When Namor was nearly slain by the reborn Suma-Ket, Neptune appeared to him, granting him the Sacred Armor of Atlantis, healing him enough to continue the struggle.

It's healing powers are not awesomely potent, though.

Now, I would give Namor Sword of Kamuu, but it is just too goddamn powerful:

Powers/Abilities: The Sword of Kamuu can increase physical and mystical powers of others. It can break or dispel normal enchantments, magic shields, and barriers. The Sword is made with Orichalcum and other unknown arcane elements that presumably grant a superior resistance and quality of the Sword, making it strong enough to resist to strikes from the Ebony Blade. The enchantment of the Sword is reduced if separated from the mystical gem the Eye of Zartra. Also, if the wielder of the Sword has wounded an Atlantean then he would be stricken by the Curse of Zartra and eventually killed by it. The Sword is also a very important symbol for the Atlanteans and should be wielded only by the rightful heir to the Throne.

The blade is so ensorcelled as to cut through most magic defenses as if they were gossamer, and is itself unbreakable. In recent times, the sword was used by Alaric in an attempt to kill Doctor Strange and achieve immortality for himself. But in the ensuing battle, Namor joined in and was cut by Alaric. The sword then turned upon Alaric and sliced him into mystic ribbons, then diffused these throughout the universe. Doctor Strange and Prince Namor, struck aghast by this series of events, decided to remove the Eye of Zartra from the sword. The eye now rests in Doctor Strange’s keeping while the sword is in the care of Namor. The sword still has the physical enhancement powers, while the gem now holds the key to immortality and the curse of striking down anyone who uses it against an Atlantean.

(Doctor Strange II#31) - Alaric was a minor mystic but, once in possession of the Sword of Kamuu, he attacked Doctor Strange to gain immortality. He used the Sword to break all the mystic barriers (including the Rings of Raggadorr) built by Strange, and easily deflected the Flames of the Faltines and defeated Clea. The Eye of Zartra neutralized all the spells that Dr. Strange cast, but when Alaric wounded Namor with the Sword, he incurred the Curse of Zartra on himself and after few second he started to lose the strength and the powers. Then Clea imprisoned the evil mystic in the Dyzakk's Cage and had the Sword fly into the hands of its rightful heir: Namor.

I think Trident is equilavent to Mjolnir.

Neptune is only second to Zeus and maybe Pluto in Greek Mythology.

And Namor is the rightful heir to Neptune, so he has the potential to do anything he wishes with the Trident.

That depends, if Poseidon is using it then its more powerful since the user is as well.

And Thor having the Mjolnir is what gives him the "last man standing" title of that list.

True, but Namor is able to stand up on Thor without the Trident:

nah... i think Thor could beat Neptune.... he was under someone else's control in those scans

But it wasn't like he was completely possessed by someone.

Thor clearly had the upper hand in the last scan though... even when being controlled... plus it was during his "new" costume days... never liked the big shoulder pad look

True, Thor had the upper hand on air.

I think Namor could take out superman but not silver surfer.

"True, but Namor is able to stand up on Thor without the Trident:"

Physically, not in versability. Wich Namor will supossely have in spades if he learns to tap into the trident`s powers.

"nah... i think Thor could beat Neptune.... he was under someone else's control in those scans"

Namor you mean, not Neptune.
