Bush's new theme song?

Back in 1989 John Mellencamp wrote this song. I heard it this morning and thought wow, that could be Bush's theme song.

It seems that things haven't changed much in 16 years. Except that maybe that the lyrics to this song are more applicable to today's politicians than they even were back then.

The thing about politics is that the problems are sempiternal.

I remember an episode of The Simpsons where some radio DJs have a computer which comments on the news. It says something to the effect that politicians are really corrupt at the moment, and one of the DJs is amazed how it keeps up to date.

As funny as that is, I feel guilty for laughing.

That's funny--at first when I read your post I thought you were saying that now Bush has a theme song--like he'd walk up to the mic and the theme song from Shaft would start playing or something--that would be humorous

Perhaps "Magic Carpet Ride" due to his facination with the Middle East?

Yes I see how that is a completely valid reason for derailing all the threads that you do. I will make sure that I at no future time to expect a relevant comment from you, no matter what the thread, due to the fact that you "walking into a room" obviously excuses you from taking the time to read what people write and excuses you from taking responsibility for saying anything.

Good song, but I feel bush isn't the only one it applies to.
