some people said erica has no talent and she is only in smallville cause she is pretty... but do you really think the producers would cast someone who has no talent at all??? of couse not. I'm not saying she is just like Hillary Swank... but she is a good actress... just like allison, tom and kreuk... and she is pretty too, come on, would anyone watch smallville if the actors were ugly??????????????????????? Why people think Durance is showing us a good Lois Lane is utterly beyond me. Speaking with sarcasm and calling Clark "Smallville" is does not a Lois make. Nor does giving her the grumps, or making her seem "sassy" without any real substance. She just kills time by spouting quips until the script calls for her to wear a bikini. Margot Kidder and Teri Hatcher had a nice balance of substance and personality. Erica Durance's Lois is a fun character, but not all that deep.
The only people who think Erica is the best Lois Lane are hormonal teenage boys 😮
Lois and Clark could have done so much better if it weren't cast as a kind of romance show. The named sucked ass, too.
I thought it was a clever play on words (Lewis and Clark). Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman was the whole title, which is a direct sequel to The Adventures of Superman television show with George Reeves and Phyllis Coats/Noel Neill, just with a more focus on Lois and Clark (well, that's self explanatory) than Superman.
I haven't seen much of people disapproving of MK because she wasn't a supermodel. She gets a lot of love for her performances, as she should because she did great, but I prefer Erica.
Also, Erica isn't just more attractive by today's standards. She's drop dead gorgeous. I'll never deny Kidder was very, very attractive when she was younger, but even if she looked like that now I'd still say Durance.
