He bonds to all the sand around him at the same time. It doesn't matter what its made out of so thats not a problem.

No he wouldn't. Blob is resistant to physical attacks. DD would just tire himself out.. and he can't come back next time with the added power "anti-getting-tired"
Alright I was too easy in saying he is resistant. He is invulnerable against physical attacks. That's all DD has. And DD is too dumb to think about throwing the bedrock under him. Besides he would have to grab the area right under Blobs feet cuz outside of that the sand will just fall through his fingers
I thought that he has been hurt before? Even so, I think that everyone whom is invulnerable----has a degree, look at superman. Invulnerable...but can be hurt...it just take a hell of alot. i belive Doomsday has what it takes to kill Blob. The sand thing is a damn good idea by the way. Also, DD has shown some sort of stratigic intelligence occasionaly, so I wouldn't put it past him.
