How did DC bring back Superman after he and Doomsday died?

I always wanted to know.

they explained that Doomsday was genetically engineered to reanimate after death with an immunity to whatever killed him.... Superman was saved by the Eradicator as it's main function was to preserve the Kryptonian legacy
