"Matnicores are fun to mess with, you know they aren't the brightest of creatures when they get into their rage." Arnold said, remembering the good times.

"well for you, Mr. Strong werepire...but for me thats another story"

"Excuse me, but that was before I was a werepire thank you very much."

"really?"..."I didn't mean it offensively"

"That is okay, I forgive you. What did you learn about manticores in your readings?"

"just about how vicious they are"

"Wonderful, well I guess it's time to get started." Arnold mounted his broom and floated in the air.

Raven pointed her wand to the Castle "ACCIO BROOM" her broom came flying out. When it reached her she grabbed it and climbed on and floated into the air up beside Arnold.

"I guess I'll have to referee, and don't worry, I'll be fair. Well If everyone can get on their brooms we can start."

"can you tell us what were doing for the first task?"

"Oh yes, of course I almost forgot. For the first task, we must fly from here to the shrieking shack and back 30 times and the entire time, we will be chased by thestrals (the invisible horse things) and the sky will be black.

"ooohhhh sounds fun"said a tall boy with his face covered by shadows."how many times did you say, and how many thestrels"

"Listen punk, you weren't entered in this contest before so this doesn't concern you, you will just have to wait and see when you are watching."

IM not watching im flying, i was entered by proffesor mcgonagle. so lets get going."he mounts his firebolt and takes off into the sky

but then he dissapears(sorry for the crappy exit i g2g)

Arnold drew a number 5 in the air and enchanted it to count down on his mark.

"Ready everyone?" Arnold asked as everybody lined up.

Rory apparated beside Arnold.

- "I'm here" - Rory said.

"Whoa! Okay Rory, mount your broom, and get ready if you are going to compete."
