The wind started to pick up outside as dark storm clouds started to roll in over the small village. Alex watched the clouds, her attention was torn from the two fighting as she watched lightning strike nearby. Although the temperature drop did not bother her, she wrapped her cloak around her unconciously. A newspaper fluttered past her, but the front cover caught her eye. Alex grabbed it out of the air and smoothed it out. The headline of the Daily Prophet read- "MYSTERIOUS VAMPIRE ATTACKS" She read into the article- "Two teenage boys were found dead in Hogsmeade village. The cause of death was later proven to be a vampire bite..." She didn't feel like reading much more, this wasn't her first time anonymously in a newspaper article. But front page? These people needed to get their priorities straight. Vampire attacks were a common occurence... just maybe not in these parts.
Alex couldn't help to smirk and laugh under her breath. Free publicity, perfect. But she wasn't stupid. Alex new that she would have to take her hunting elsewhere, or just mess with the mortals minds and not let them discover it was her. Hmm... tough decision. Chase knew that she had killed the humans mercilessly, but Alex knew that he had too big of a heart for his own good. He wouldn't rat her out unless she gave him a reason to. Balling the paper and throwing back into the wind, Alex sighed. "When would they ever learn?"
Alex breathed sharply as the blade was placed to her chest. But as soon as she heard the voice of the holder, Alex rolled her eyes... Shade. As he spun her, her long bangs covering her left eye, she glared at him, red eyes fierce. "That article, my friend, is nothing but rubbish, they know nothing of a true vampire attack... but the front page is always an honor..."
"You know nothing of what I am, so I suggest you stop trying to figure it out. What I did was not a bloodbath... Two unsuspecting humans, two that none will miss. They will eventually become a thing of the past. What I don't understand why you keep bringing up my past, and how I was. You can not change me Shade." She told him forcefully, holding his gaze.
" You flatter me Shade," Alex smirked and laughed under her breath, " ' wonderful person' and I'm glad that you finally realized I have changed. But you need to understand there is no going back to where I was worthless, weak, underestimated. But, " She stopped as she could feel him trying to get into her mind. Alex broke eye contact, and pulled away from him roughly. "Doing that will never be that easy."
( just to let you know, you can't stop the poison, it's been magically protected from spells, but it won't kill you.)
Shade appeared in front of a house in ireland. " I've been putting this off to long" he said to himself. As he walked through the door a knife slashed his arm. He turned quickly to find a death eater standing in the doorway. " Ah Proudfoot, it's been a long time hasn't it" he said. " Shade is that you, I thought you were dead"
" I am" Shade responded as he advanced on the man.
" What are you doing, you better stop or I'll call the others "
" Oh please do" he said as he sunk his teeth into the mans neck. Proudfoot screamed as the teeth sunk in. Ten more death eaters came down the stairs to find proudfoot lieng on the ground.
" You don't mind if I turn out the lights do you, it hurts my eyes". The lights were extinguished and there was sounds of fighting, and screaming.
Twenty minutes later shade walked out wiping his mouth. He turned around and set the house on fire. " I wonder if that'll make the front page". He apparated to his shop and rearranged some things before taking his potion.
Alex gave shade a questionsing look before he apparated away... what did he mean by 'this is from Alex'? She had no idea how she would be connected to a needle... unless what was in there was... no. Shade, just like Chase, had too big of a heart. But she had no worries about being like them, for hers had stopped beating years ago. As Raven cursed at the pain, Alex couldn't help but to chuckle from the doorway. This was getting too entertaining.
