Find name of this tv movie/stage show

"lime green with chicken wire"

starts out three women living together going to school. This all takes place on a stage in their apartment. Every time their is an event at school they would decorate with lime green and chicken wire. Saw this back in the late 80's while living in Calif. Anybody know the name of this? Been looking for the last 20 years
