Christmas Presents

Remember that time when I didn't know what I wanted for my birthday? Yep. It's happened again but this time for Christmas.

Instead of making a thread wholly devoted to me, however, I've decided to include the rest of all of you.

1. What are you requesting for Christmas?
2. What should I request for Christmas?

(I appreciate the 'miffed' smiley face.)

I'm mostly asking for dvd's and some video games.

Land of the Dead
Batman Begins
Star Wars Episode 3
Cannibal Holocaust special edition dvd
A Very Long Engagement
Crash
Kill Bill 1/2
Simpsons Season 7
South Park Season 6
Family Guy Volume 3
Aqua Teen Hunger Force volume 4
Mallrats 2 disc dvd
Fantastic Four
Team America
Baseketball
Devil Rejects unrated version
Big Lebowski

Games:
Call of Duty 2 (PC)
Quake 4 (PC)
F.E.A.R (PC)
The Movies (PC)

Speaking of The Devil's Rejects, was that movie any good? Lions Gate Films has a history of 'gross' films, but that doesn't mean they suck...

Nor, of course, does it mean they are good.

However, the twist at the end of Saw made the movie completely worth it.

The main thing I'm aiming for is a new digital camera, the one I've got now I've had for nearly 3 years and doesn't work so great anymore.

Right now I'm not worrying so much on what I'd like for Christmas, but rather, what I should get for my friends/family.

I enjoyed The Devils Rejects. It was a good revenge/exploitation film, much better then House of 1000 Corpses, IMO. You should give it a rental, see if you like it.

I hated Saw, though, especially the twist. It served no relevant purpose other then being "surprising". The whole "twist at the end to make up for a generic movie" thing has gotten really stale, and most of the time the twists do nothing but offer a cheap, irrelivent surprise.

But, to each his own.

06 mustang.

I never get what i want for christmas. There is actually a lie when I smile after I open a Xmas Gift.

Not asking for anything for christmas, whatever I get I'll be fine with.

Christmas has gone too commercial. Halloween decorations come down, christmas decorations go up. All I am now seeing are advertisements from sears and wallmart on the tv telling everyone what they should buy others for christmas and where they should by it. It has almost become the quintessential holiday that celebrates retail transactions.

I am one of the few people left out there who like to think christmas should be about more than asking and getting gifts. If there is anyone else out there like that, this is the perfect thread to speak up in.

Christmas is a pagan feast. Ok. There I said it.

Who are all you people asking? Mummy? Daddy? Santa Claus?

My "lovely" mom and dad, of course.

I don't care either way.
I actually enjoy christmas shopping most of all, more than receiving gifts 🙂

Im asking for CDs and a new CD player, becuase the one ive got is from 97 🙁 .

I have everything I need....I have nothing whatsoever I want...my parents are gonna give me money instead to buy something later on.

Mostly DVD's
Chicken Little
Batman Begins
Spiderman 2
Finding Neverland
The Aviator
Kill Bill

I'm telling people to get me something I would like.
they know me good enough to know what would it be 😊

and I have no idea what should you request. 😕

CNN just did a report that addressed the position that christmas has gone too commercial. Their response was that christmas is worth 450 billion dollars to the american economy and to not think of the malls as a place of stress and discomfort, but that you should rather look at yourself as an economic soldier who is battling to keep the US economy strong.

Yes, that'sa what it's all about, I'm glad they cleared that up for all of us.

what with the tradition, spending time together and so on? 😕

So 'soldiers' and 'battles' are in shopping malls as well in the US? Always war war war, these americans. ❌

Whatever Christmass is, as long as it contributes to the wellbeing of society, then it's all good, on the other hand, if it doesn't it's not good.
