Should Wolves be reintroduced in the UK

I'm certainly not an expert, but couldn't they start of with small populations and gently increase it over decades, like a normal migration of a wolf back into the UK would be like (assuming it wasn't an island)

again I'm not an expert.

I definitely think that wolves should be reintroduced into the UK... however, Scotland is the wrong place... I think Surrey, Sussex, Berkshire and slough would benefit most.... especially if we reintroduce just the old, tired ones, that have been bred with a taste for human....

I think it would be great and would certainly liven up boring camping weekends in the Cairngorms when the booze runs out. Now you can sit in a tent and say "Did you hear that?" and be quite sure that there indeed might be something outside the tent that wants to eat you instead of just a rabbit or something.

Yes they should be put back into the enviroment, its there home for god sake.

It wouldnt be fair if we had to get taken away would it??

And if there is Dangers its our own fault for going near them..

It's not "their" home at all. They would be uprooted to move there.

Every urban myth has been out there to create this incredibly scary image of wolves, but the truth is, in all of North America's history, there is not one single fatality on record from a wolf.

Exactly, wolves are even more harmless than dogs because they're scared of man and tend to avoid us.

Its not the threat to man that makes reintroduction of wolves a n idea that needs rethinking..........Its the idea of an ecosystem that has devoloped into its own without wolves so reintroducing them has an unknown affect.......

LOL "what if" wolves leave most of the deer alone and go after rabbits mostly because they are so plentiful and easy prey...........great solution🙂 Yeah bring in Lynx because we are taking about deer but lynx main diet consists of snowshoe hare...........however Lynx can take down deer so now what🙂

yup...everything should be balanced...
