Were Palpatine and Anakin true Sith?

Or were they Just dark Jedi that knew about the Sith and experimented.

they are dark jedi who beleive in the sith religion/beleif.

They were Sith in the fact that they followed the Sith ideal, but they were not True Sith because they are not part of the original race of Sith.

well they were definately experimenting....but they decided to leave that part out to make it suitable for families....
