NV, it's not a new symbiote- it's a new superhero with spider-powers. Her affiliation with Parker is pretty loose, I think.

I believe that the MAD magazine that NVG is referring to is spoofing the Indian Spidey title.

More utter CRAP from Marvel--it's all part of the very alarming trend of the decline in the quality of the stories, creation of new titles of minor and/or very WEAK characters, cancellation of some of the good stories, and the obviously pointless and gratuitous violation of Marvel continuity.

Not to say that all the stuff outside continuity is crap, I really enjoy some of it--but it HAS to be well-worked. It's almost as if Marvel hired a bunch of 12-year-olds as writers: the dialogue doesn't feel right, the stories are choppy and sketchy, then they put some effort into the art, but it's not enough to lend credibility to the books.

It's almost as bad as the early to mid- nineties. Marvel wasn't cuttin' it then, either, and I stopped collecting for over 5 years just because I'd rather spend my money on friggen laundry soap.

Hey, RJ--it's nice to see you back. Yes, I'm still here, but I'm just not very enthusiastic about Marvel's effort lately, you now? It kinda puts a damper on my comic love...
