Shatter smiled and deaccelerated as they rolled to a set of lights. Exhaling slightly as the light then turned green, she shifted the gears smoothly and accelerated so gradually yet quickly that she needed to grip the wheel all that little more tighter to keep the beast of a machine under her control.
Turning down a gear, she span hard left and deaccelerated into a left turn, sliding the machine's body into a harsh left turn and accelerating out into the dead street.

"Hold that Morph"Jubilee walked toward the door.She swung the door open as she looked down at the back of an person."Well hello there.Do you need help?"

~Kelly looked behind her and then got to her feet grabbing her bags~

Hi... ~she spoke shyly~ Is this the mutant place?.. My name is Kelly Averns.... im umm looking for Professor Xavier...

~she gave a look of uncertainty~ ... this is the right place right?

"Welcome Kelly, do not be alarmed. You are mentally hearing me. I am Professor Charles Xavier and welcome to the X-Mansion.

~Eyes widened not used to the mental intrusion. Dirt rose from the ground behind her about 3 feet then fell back down when she was told it was the Professor.~

Oh... Umm.. thank you Professor.. ~she spoke as her eyes looked around a bit~

Make yourself at home young lady I shall be down shortly. Do not be afraid for you are among friends.

=Bobby gripped the dash board and leaned into each turn with a good sized smile on his face. He had to admit, he was having a good time.=

~she looked a round a bit and nodded at the voice in her head. she looked to Jubilee wondering if she heard the voice too.~

... He said I can come in....

~she said softly. She waited for her to let her by before walking in and looking at the way the manor was set up.~

Shatter pumped on the gear stick as she rounded another deserted corner, her eyes widening as she saw the cops coming down the opposite way.

"Aw crap...belt on kid...this' about to get messy."

Shatter said tersely as the cops turned on their sirens, their tires screeching and beginning to smoke up as they avoided an accident, very narrowly.

=Bobby saw the cops and looked from them to Shatter. He already had his belt on but he checked to make sure.=

Hey, We have to pull over. The Prof is going to angry as it is.

=Said as he hears the sirens of the police cars=

Charles makes his way downstairs to meet Kelly.

"You must be the young lady I was just talking to. Greetings, my name is Professor Charles Xavier, leader and founder of the X-Men. Welcome to our mansion. I hope that you had an easy journey miss."

~Kelly at first stared at the bald man in the wheel chair then she finally blinked and nodded softly.~

Oh! umm.. Thank you sir.... My name is Kelly. Kelly Averns....

~She bit her bottom lip nervously~

Shatter's jaw tensed for a moment before she span the wheel, tapping the breaks and going down two whole gears as she spun the back end of the car 160 degrees to their left and avoided what may have been a very messy and violent collision.
The car idled as she spoke, her breath even and calm. She'd pulled off better but not with such young company in the car.

"Don't worry Bobby...I won't even get a ticket."

She said calmly as the cop car came to a halt and one of the cops got out quickly, jogging over to the car with his gun unholstered and pointing directly at Shatter. He progressed toward the car and straifed down with his weapon as he came closer, "Kill the engine." He said, voice raised.
Shatter complied and unzipped her jacket as he slowed and made his way to her window. Shatter didn't even look up as she fished for her international driving licence. The cop was sweating and as he neared the open window of the car, you could see he was shaking either from adrenaline, fear or a combo of both.

bruce shook around restlessly in bed, and jumped up quickly sweating all over his torso and face. He had just had a nightmare one of many in the last few days. He figured he'd tell the professor about so he stretched his arms and walked out of the room and up the stairs.

As he got upstairs he saw Xavier and jubilee with what appeared to be a new student. he walked over and stood next to Xavier waiting for him to finish.

~Kelly blinked a little seeing yet another person come into view. She started to feel uncomfortable with just the three of them. She even felt uncomfortable with two people near her on occasion.~

.... Im.. kinda tired. Is there a place I can sleep for the night?

~she still spoke in a quiet tone.~

=Bobby eyed the cop as he came up to the window. He took note of the gun in the mans hand and raised a brow. The first thing going through his mind was if the cop was a mutant hater or not. The second was if he was and he found out they were.=

hmm..

Why yes there is. For the night you may have my room. I...won't be sleeping, I have something that I must dedicate my time to. It is upstairs, take a left, and all the way at the end of the hall in the center.

The cop stopped several steps away from the open window, by this time Shatter had produced the international driving licence she'd held for several years now and allowed her right arm to protrude out of the car window. As she extended her arm to hand the cop the licence, her sleeve shifted down to reveal an 'interesting' tattoo on the underside of her wrist.

It didnt take long for the cop to notice and he froze midway to taking the licence from Shatter's hand. His eyes wandered from the tattoo to Shatter's face and he swallowed hard.

He took the licence and jogged back to the car.
Meanwhile inside the car the cop's reaction didn't seem to bother Shatter at all as she waited she leaned her head back on the headrest and glanced at Bobby.

"Calm down kid...after he comes back with my licence we'll go by KFC and get a bite...I'll explain to you when we're eating."

=He arched a brow and shook his head a bit.=

Im calm. I just think ahead of possible outcomes. I learned long ago to prepare for the worst. Besides no sense freaking out about stuff. If it happens it happens... and if you keep a cool head you might be able to talk out of any trouble you get into.

=He put his hands behind his head as he leaned back in the seat. He then looked back to her when she mentions KFC=

Oh hey I could always use a bite.

~Kellys eyes widened and she shook her head quickly, eyes closing tightly as she did. She looked at the professor again before speaking again.~

Oh no sir! I couldnt do that to you!! I can just.. umm... ~she looked around~ ... I could just sleep on the couch for now if thats alright.
