The simulation were in the middle of a blown up destroyed city, barley any building were left standing, fire was everywhere. A simulation of Magneto apeared along with sabretooth, omega red, juggernaut, and even some of the x-men like wolverine, phylocke, storm, Cyclops. Every now and then a fighter jet flew by shooting them with machines guns or dropping a few bombs. The simulated X-men and (villains?) attacked the real Scott, Emma and Jean Grey. This won't be a easy training session.
A siren went off and Scott knew what that meant, a level 10 simulation and he believed that Jean nor Emma was ready for this. Bombs started falling near them and he Scott reacted as quickly as he could. Not knowing of Emma's diamond form he targets her first and puts her safety as his top priority. If Jean was in full control as she said then she should be fine. Scott tackles Emma to the ground and lands on top of her, he turns his head and shoots every bomb before they land. He then looks up to see a foot from Juggernaut coming down on him but Jean slows his pace down and gives Scott enough time to roll both of them away from getting their head's crushed. Nate heard the siren go off as well and he and Wade went down to see what was up. Only two people really trained on a level 10 and that was Logan and his father. Whoever it was down there would certainly put on a good show for him.
Logan had walked in the Danger room with what appeared to be a katana on his back. He was going to speak to Scott about some things but right when he walked in someone activated a training program. It was on level 10 and by the looks of the three in the room it wasn't planned. He looked at Scott began to dodge around things while trying to protect Emma and barely avoid getting his head smashed. "Come on Summers, this is child's play for guys like us. Quit running away and lets show this girls what are really made of" He joked with him in his usual way and popped his claws from his wrists. He quickly gained the Attention of Sabertooth and began to charge towards him and Omega Red. In a real fight he would never do something like that, but he knew the simulation could never truly match the ferocity of those two.
Rei continued pressing buttons and keyboards while humming a random tune. A screen came up and showed the others dodging attacks and such. He blinked and thought if this was the game. She pressed a few more buttons and noticed it wasn't the x-men he was controlled, she trying to kill them. oh sweet! this game rocks kukuku. Not knowing it wasn't a video game, he continued pressing buttons and trying to kill them.
Two claws phased out from the ground and grabbed hold of Wolverine and Cyclops. Rei was getting the hang of this after awhile and took hold of the two that seem the strongest. Kukuku I blame you that our prank was a failure. He pressed another button and a gun phased out from another part of the stage and blasted cyclops.
Noticing how the system seemed to focus on Cyclops and Wolverine, Emma took advantage of the pause against her and placed her index and middle finger against her temple and in one powerful sweep scanned the minds within the mansion shallowly. Once she picked up what she seeked, she returned to focus on the battle and ran towards Cyclops and Wolverine "The system is controlled by the shapeshifter" She commented as her entire body became diamond and she backhanded the claw that held Scott up, shattering it and caught Scott as he fell to the ground. She took hold of the shattered claw and threw it at the one that had caught Wolverine, freeing him while she was at it.
"Somehow I doubt you train against Juggernaut on a daily basis" She said and then shifted back to normal state, placed her fingers against her temple and sent a mindblast at the nearby hostiles, although most were resistant. It had a decent effect on at least Wolverine, Cyclops, Psylocke and Omega Red while she herself was moving backwards.
Logan fell to the ground but landed on his feet once the claw was broken, he quickly gave Emma a light nod. "Thanks Emma" He then began to laugh when she doubted that he trained against Juggernaut often. "Then you must not the kind of stuff I go through every couple of days. Remind me to tell ya when this ov-" His sentence was cut short as one of Omega Red's coils wrapped around his neck and began to swing him around, slamming him against the ground repeatedly before starting to drain his energy. He was trying to scream out in pain but couldn't get the sound out as his throat was squeezed by the carbonadium coil. He reached up trying to unsheath the sword but another coil wrapped around his body. *This is some bull shit* he thought to himself as he endured the intense pain.
Jean looked up as the fight was going on.She took her normal role as support and attack hybrid.She body began to lift into the air above Emma.Though this wasn't her favorite person she was apart of the X-Men family.She placed her hands out toward the danger room X-Men.Emma's mental assault was was just what they needed.It had done damage.Just to ensure both their safety an wall of telekinetic force pushed Wolverine, Cyclops, Psylocke and Omega Red back.With an flick of her wrist an chunk of rock began to float i the air.With the extension of her index finger it was propelled toward Omega Red who now had ahold of Logan.Once it made contact she flew above Cyclops.Placing an shield around him.She made sure to keep an eye on Emma in case she needed her help.Wolverine on the other hand she didn't need to focus to much on.
"This amount of noise at this hour?Logan must be in the danger room again."Once the Danger Room door opened Beast walked in to see Rei acting as if this was an toy."Great heavens young lady.What have you done?"He rushed over and gently pushed her out the way."The Danger Room console isn't an toy Miss.Now let's see if I can end this or at least make the odds even out."Beast was typing in code after code.He pressed the intercom."Hold steady my friends.Now if I can just by pass the central code with an another level ten code then an level one to zero.That should do the trick"
Scott wondered about Emma and that new form she just took. When could she have learned something like that? If he knew about that little trick then he would've certainly readjusted his strategy. "And I train against him to learn how to dodge his strikes...they hurt a lot in case you were wondering." He replied while moving to his next target. Scott charged up a shot and released it at Magneto but he suddenly has a shield placed around him and it bounced back and hit him in the face. It didn't hurt at all but it hindered his actions. Jean must have wanted to keep him safe even though he does this by himself all the time. In the end he was being protected by a woman's love.
"Oh my God Scott."She landed beside him."Scott I'm so sorry.I just..."She looked over at Magneto.Her body was to focused on helping her husband up that she hadn't noticed the steel bar heading toward her.Just when she was ready to toss Magneto around the bar began to coil around her.Her arms sunk into her side while lifting up.The Phoenix would have been an great help at this point but she loved the man she gave her heart too much to even try to use it.Magneto's metal mastery was like the real man himself.It seemed the Danger room had forgotten about Jeans ability to stimulate heat molecules to generate concussive blasts.
"Wohla.The problem at hand has been dealt with Cyclops.The Danger room should be going into an level one simulation in 5..4..3."
The simulation was over and Scott was more than fine. Jean had no need to really apologize, but he accepted it anyway. "It's alright Jean, honestly that didn't hurt at all. I'm more than fine but I wish we got to finish that fight and all. We're going to have a little talk with Rei about getting her little Dora the explorer fun going." Scott went up there and brought Rei down to the others. He wasn't angry or about to yell or anything. He just wanted her to hear what everyone had to say but Scott didn't get a chance to get a word out. An old friend was teleported right before them and immediately got their attention.
"X-Men, I have come to request your assistance in locating Empress Lilandra and stopping the former X-Man known as Vulcan in his takeover of the Empress's throne. Since he is a former X-Man you are hereby ordered to come and protect the honor of your name. Although it pains me to force your hands in this matter, I will not hesitate to do so if it means saving the Empress Lilandra. You have one minute to comply with your answer." Gladiator stood tall and firm before the X-Men awaiting their answer. Scott looked to Logan and Jean to see what they had to say although his mind was already made up.
"Hello Gladiator.I'm sorry to hear about this.I believe the Professor would wish for us to aid you.In the end it's up to Cyclops."Jean looked back at Cyclops.She was ready to follow his command.It reminded her of the old days.She gave him an smile till she remember he hadn't slept all day."Wait.Scott how are you gonna function without sleep?I could keep giving you an mental boost but nothing is better than sleep."She made sure to whisper her words to him.
Beast who was now in the Danger Room with the others raised an brow as Gladiator spoke."Shi'Ar is in trouble again and by Vulcan this time.Am I my brothers keeper presses it's way to my memory.You do realize my friend you are asking two members of the summers family tree to come fight along side you?Wisest tactical move maybe on your part.Question I must beg to know is what efforts have the Imperial Guard began in this takeover?"
Scott was going to have to suck it up, and that is exactly what he was doing. He would do whatever he could to keep the bond between the X-Men and the Shi'Ar. "I'll deal with it. You have our support Gladiator we're ready as soon as you are."
Gladiator really didn't feel like explaining himself but he would spend a part of that minute explaining what they've done. "Finding Lilandra is more important than physically stopping Vulcan. I will handle the Summers brother and kill him personally after I save the Empress. Without her safety then there's nothing stopping her brother or sister from taking the throne and the fact that he is the brother of Cyclops forces you to aide us. This really isn't a request, I hate to do this but I have no other choice. You shall be brought to a hideout of those loyal to Lilandra shortly." And with that he flew through the roof of the mansion and back into space. Gladiator really didn't have time to take the door and get outside.
Rei was having fun controlling her fun game until beast ruined it and took her away. Hey! I can beat it on my own. I don't need anyone to help. I've beaten a video game before. Once Scott took him away to the others, she looked around at a few of the smudges, dirt, and bruises she caused at the others including wolverine. uhh...err...guess it wasn't a video game huh. She snickered and scratched the back of her head. He then looked and saw Gladiator appear, she didn't know her but took note of her appearance in case.
Was this even the time to even try this mission?Only an hand full of the X-Men going off to fight Vulcan,Her love was in no true state to deal with this.She hadn't had an true moments time with him.Then there was the ever so unfaithful Emma Frost.Villain turned hero.Jean had been watching Emma with an careful eye.She noted how this savage beast in the shape of an dashing woman eyed her husband.THis was an major part of Jean's hostility toward her.The word home wrecker just seemed to appear on her head.Then there was Vulcan..her brother-in law. Powerful but yet insane which made an deadly combo.For the most part all She wanted was to take an ship there just to be with Scott.Show him how much She loved him.Now wasn't the time for fantasies.*X-Men.Meet in the Danger Room.We have an mission.*Jean took Scott's hand into her own.She placed her hand on her forehead.*Scott my I?*
"A mission to the Shi'Ar Empire. Are you going to join them Wade?" Cable asked him wondering if he should go himself, his uncle would be there and fighting him should prove challenging. Scott turned to Jean to see what was wrong with her but he couldn't tell, his mind immediately went to the Phoenix which furthered his desire for her to get rid of the cosmic entity. "Jean what's wrong?!"

Emma grinned as the dust settled after that Gladiator had been present. She beheld Jean, the hypocritical little weasel. Emma was amused over how Jean had forced her way inside Scott's mind, after having been present during a so very enlightening speech held before Emma earlier the same day about respecting fellow X-Men. It was a fun fact to memorize, that the little princess of the X-Men did not abide to the rules. Emma could sever the link and inform the two of the gravity of the situation and that taking a mental vacation was not the most appropriate thing to do, but she trusted Scott knew what he was doing. Instead, she turned to the rest "Someone care to fill me in on these Shi'Ar?" It was not like she could not take the information herself, but when it came down to obvious matters, she would have to ask the good old fashion way.
In her wolf form, Rahne peaked into the danger room through the hole that had been created, as a response to the telepathic summon that had been sent her. She jumped through the opening and landed gracefully inside the danger room on all four. Her ears twitched some as she then transformed into her human form and stood straight on two legs. She ran her hand through her red hair and smiled as she put her hands together afterwards "I'm sure the summon had na' t' do wi' the loud crash and hole throu the mansion. Ye called, Mrs. Grey?" Rahne smiled, already in her X-Men uniform. It was to her knowledge the only outfit that worked in combination with her powers.
She looked around then and noticed one particular, new face "Emma! The commotion ain't because of ye, is it?" Rahne found the question legitimate, given how she had heard quite the tales of Emma's past and given how Rahne herself had been a student at Massachusetts Academy and even the Hellions at one point.
Jubilee walked in the danger room looking around.She had an puzzled look on her face woderig what this was all about."So psylocke had something come up over in England.So what's goingo here?"Jubliee asked taking out an stick of gum.Her shades rested on her head as she awaited an answer.
Jean looked over at Scott.She would allow him to tell them what was going on.
Scott was about to answer them but they were transported to one of the hideouts for Lilandra when things in the royal court got heavy. Those that were transported were Scott, Emma, Jean, Wolverine, Rei, and Rahne in place of Deadpool. When they arrived they stood before Gladiator and a few nameless Shi'Ar soldiers. "This is the Shi'ar..." Gladiator stood proud and addressed his friends starting with a humble apology. "Once again I apologize for the abrupt summoning but I will do what I must for the throne. We're not here to fight or engage Vulcan and forces, our primary objective is to find Lilandra and then deal with the dissenters. Those who are following Vulcan are his mistress and sister of Lilandra Deathbird, the herald of Galactus Terrax, and the mutant known as Tempo. Now are you all ready and brought up to speed?"
