'Apex,It's been awhile hasn't it?What brings you here?*Professor Xavier asks.*
"Xavier..." Predator said, he smiled, a twisted smile. "Didn't forget the scars I left your men I see." He laughed, and his finger nailes turned black, and became razor sharp, shooting out about half an inch with a sharp noise.
"Calm down." Apex said to him, his own voice still void of emotion. "You power is strong, and we all know that, but you dont need to display it. You are quick to anger, and we'd not want to see what happens when the two are mixed and free."
"Well why dont you let me out of these things and find out?" He asked, still looking Xavier in the eyes. He was both brave, and defiant.
"Because we need these people." Apex said, some urgency, sadness, and even a taint of fear creeping into his voice. To any empathetic psychic, the idea that some was very, very wrong would explode right in their face. "Or billions of others, men women or children, will suffer for it..." Apex sighed, closing his eyes he bent his head and "looked" at the ground, though his eyes were closed. He opened them, looking back up at the professor as he did. "Professor." He sucked in a deep, shaking breath. "We have a very serious problem, and I'd rather you see it, then me explain it to you in words." His eyes suddenly started to swirl, and the colours within mixed into turmoil as he sent a blast of psychic energy into the others mind, assaulting him with images, memories.
The Professor would see a flash of white in his mind, and his eyes would fail him as only the message would be seen to him. Two military guards, in an underground hall, with rigging for floor. Two red eyes watching them in the shadow, and a deep eerie growl. A psychic growl, the Guards could not hear it, or detect it in anyway.
Another flash of white, and the vision was replaced. It was outside, the desert. Wind blew sand storms in the distance, but for now a foot thick door, made of pure grade a titanium alloy stuck out, walls around it sinking into the sand, betraying the presence of a ramp leading into the underworld. There was an ear splitting roar, and a dent appeared in the door. Another dent formed pointing outward in an upper corner, and then what looked like a claw, or scyth shaped limb, dark brown in color, pierced through, and the door was blown off the hinges. A split second glimpse of the horror responsible, and another flash of white light.
Guards, about twenty of them, with their weapons blazing were running past, shooting into the distance. The vision also instilled nervousness into the Professor, he was seeing this through Predator's eyes now. Something that looked about ten feet tall, but only the height of a man because it was hunched over was charging them in the distance. It's back legs were thicker than a mans, but large bones made them seem a bit skinny. They were thick with sinew and power though, and were propelling the creature as fast as a car could drive. The knees were bent the opposite direction than a mans. It's chest and torso were also thin, but rippling with muscle. Skinny, but the muscle between the skin and bone formed vieny rippling flesh. It's shoulders were large and thick with muscle, and the front legs were weapons for limbs. Much like a persons until the elbow, which bent downward, and the rest of the limb was a thick scyth shaped finish with the inside of the curve facing it's body, so it pointed toward itself, biting into the dirt. It was using these to dig deep ruts in the ground and pull itself forward, but it moved so fast even Predator's eyes could not track it well. The Guards started shooting, and it dodged many of their shots, and of those that did hit, most had little effect. Black blood and bits of flesh did fly into the air though. It reached the guards, crossing over five hundred feet in less than ten seconds, and slammed into two, the impact crushed their bone structure killing them instantly. One specalist ran up with a larger tazer like weapon, and the monster swung it's arm out to the side, hitting the man with the outside of the scyth shaped limb's curve, sending him flying out of view with a spine snapped in half. Two more men were skewered and tossed away in pieces. The time since it reached them and this all happened about three seconds. It was fast, too fast.
It charged toward Predator, toward Xavier in the vision, and two arms shot into view, grabbing hold of the monsters limbs as it tried to stab him, but it was strong, stronger than Predator was. He was tossed to the side. The impact from the monsters blow hurt, and shattered bones. Predator's muscles if flexed could stop bullets, let alone his bones. This thing hit him with enough force that it could easly shatter an iron rod.
Another flash, and this was through Apex's eyes. It was a minute later in chronological time. The vision was wrong, everything was different, etherael. It betrayed the fact that Apex was actually blind as most humans and mutants knew it. He "saw" with his psychic power. However, he was standinfg beside a tank, which rotated its' cannon around to aim at the monster, charging them across the desert at about a mile in the distance. The tank fired, and the monster must've seen the shot easily because it stopped, and it's left arm became a blur, and the next second the tank shell was on the ground, staked there and run through by the monsters front arm. It had stabbed the shell out of the air.
Another flash, it was seconds later, the monster was right beside them. The tank fired again, an explosive round, and the monster was consumed in flame, smoke, and debris. All was silent after the shot for many moments, before it came flying out of the smoke ring, and leaped fifty feet, landing on top of the tank. It's front limbs went to work, stabbing and hacking at the metal, ripping the armour to shreds as if it were paper. It pulled the turret off and hurled to the side, and sprayed some kind of liquid into the inside with it's mouth. Screams erupted, and then it turned to Apex, started him in the eyes, and launched itself at him. The vison went black.
Apex's eyes returned to normal. "That was just a scout." He said.
Tattoo's mind broke from the visions that had been thrust into his head and he exhaled slightly, looking to Apex, "These are the enemy that you and your companion here have faced?"
**In the Med Bay**
Amelia nodded slightly and smiled, "Ana, that's a cool name...if you don't mind me asking; what bought you here?"
"I was banished by mutants from the major cities after I lost control and destroyed a popular club for our kind, some loony in a paint-pot helmet tried to recruit me and down-right pi$$ed me off. I tried to contact those XMen idiots but they shut me out too... So I went north as I had no chance to go back home or east for that matter. Now I'm here..." She still has no idea that she's in the Xmen mansion, and that you might want to know that she dislikes them...
"I know how you feel, I was outcast by the norms when the mutant registration act came through...looking back on it now I realise that the norms that where a part of my life back then where just trying to protect me." That feeling of needing to thank them all still nagged at her and she paused before continuing, "But we've all got something in common when it comes down to it in the end."
Jean grey was at the brig"Here wildCat.Your food.I hope you do rest"Jean slide the tray in and removed the force field.moments later jean had reached the medical bay"Oh good your wake. Amelia Thank you."Jean walked over to an screen"Ok your vitals are doing good,All i can say is rest,I would like to move you up stairs, the it can get an bit drafty down here"
Amelia smiled as Jean entered the Medical Bay once more, Logan had his musclar body propped up against the wall and raised a brow at Ana's question, "We're the X-Men..." Amelia glanced at Logan and then back at Ana, "Logan's right actually. I'm somewhat surprised that you didn't realise where you were."
((OOC: There's been a death in dale's family so he PM'd me and asked him to play his characters in his absence. He should be back in about a week or so...))
Her powers were beginning to return as well, she could sense a large mass of organic matter from the upper floors, Mutants like her.
For now, she followed suit, mentally she invisioned her being attacked on all sides by a gang of young mutants... This school would be either her salvation or her destruction, she decided as survival was here, death was the Tundra outside, she would have to blend, something she wasn't rather good at...
