Rogue sits with other children soothing them while she braids the youngest girls hair.Suddenly the children start to cry n wail as explosions begin to come from the base.
"Its okay children its okay,no fret,soon we all be outta here n all yous kids can have some hot cocoa when we get back home."
The one young boy looks at her an said,"Home?Are we going to live with you n those other ppl that got out us away from those meanies,your not gonna send us to other meanies?"
Rogue laughs,"Of course you are gonna live with us,an other children just like you with specail gifts,Why would we send you away?
The child looked at her,"Those meanies said we would never have a home cause we were different,cause theres something wrong with us,he said we have a curse an he has to stop us from growing up n causing trouble."
Rogue gets up walks over to him kneels down n says"Theres nothing wrong with you,your special not cursed you have gifts an we're going to help you learn more about your gifts.You guys are wonder full,your going to grow up n be whatever you wanna be,you can be doctors n parents n anything you want,but lets get you home first,"She smiles at him n looks at the other 2 an smiles.

Jean looked at the kids."I'll get them out of here, Besides Rogues up there all alone.Kurt you to."
Nightcrawler looked over at Jean."Nie Jean.I think I still can teleport just not that far.Only an couple of meters."Nightcrawler jumped into the air as he tried to teleport but still nothing."

Jean waved at her fellow x-men as both her and Nightcrawler walked out of the room with the children.*Rogue,we'll be up there in an few.Storm,Morph,and Matt are taking care of that lab.* Jean turn her attention to the children."So what can you all do?"

Morph walked in the back of both Storm and Matt.The had to be aware if anything was to try to come on them from behide
Matt slowly walked down the corridors, scanning the area for any signs of movement using his suit's multiple aspects of vision. He could sense something strange but couldn't quite pinpoint it. Switching to heat scanners ...he still detected nothing.
Then he saw a strange Blurr of movement right before his Vision went snowy... He quickly opened his visor for a normal view, something seemed to be blocking his suit's radar.
BAM! ... out of no where, a sentinal pounced on him uncloaking as Matt was knocked on his back.
Pinning him to the ground for a moment, it attacked Matt relentlessly with some strange type of electrified Katana... Hacking and slicing away at Matt's armor but merely scratching it. This sentinal was different ...it seemed to be using a similar type of Exo-skeleton as the one Matt had stolen, with only a few minor differences.
Gathering his strength within seconds...Matt Jumped to his feet while pushing the sentinal away. As the sentinal started to regain it's balance Matt quickly Kicked it in the chest with great force... sending it flying through the air, dropping its sword to the ground...
Time seemed to stop for a moment as he watched the sentinal flying in slow motion... Matt's suit began to take over again he saw what the sentinal was seeing... Looking further into the sentinal's systems, Matt seemed to trigger multiple errors in it's programming.
Letting out a strange sonic scream as its core exploded out through it's chest completely obliterating the strange sentinal. Apparantly it's self destruct mechanism had been activated.
Time sped back up as Matt searched all around the area where Morph and Storm were standing. He saw nothing unusual.
Picking up the strange sword on the ground.
Com-link: "Stay on guard guys, they seem to be....Upgrading..." CLUNK "huh?"
Matt slowly looked up where the clunking noise came from.
5 more sentinals were skittering across the ceiling studying them and waiting to strike.
"uh ....guys"
"MATT!Matt are you okay?"As Storm runs over to him to find out if he's hurt."Morph becareful their clocking themeselves! We have to destroy the machines making them before we destroy them or else we'll be out man'd!"
(Meanwhile)
"Hey guess what kids?The others are on their way,soon you guys can have hot cocoa n some supper a nice bath n bed of your own."Rogue looks at the smiles an the brightened faces of the kids an knows that they are tired n hungry so their looking forward to it.
"I'm okay" Handing the electrofied sword to Storm, smiling. "gotcha something 😉 "
"Let's find these machines quick, before they decide to attack again... it looks like they are waiting and watching for a moment to single us out and attack. Stay close"
Matt started walking down the hallway searching for the machines, all while keeping an eye on the sentinals that were watching him and the others.
"Thanks for the sword Matt 😉 ...... Are the Sentinels just standing there?Why wont they attack?What are they waiting for?.....I guess I shouldn't complain though we should pay more attention to getting rid of the machines first,but keep your eyes open they could change their minds at any moment."
Storm scanned around the rooms looking for any sign of a sentinel,but saw nothing,"I hope the kids are still okay......"

Rogue was extremely happy once the last of the 5 kids fell asleep."Did ya guys find the body's of the other 2 yet?Don't forget the Professor wants to give them a proper burial......Should we go back in to help the others?They might need our help.."
Kurt shook his head"Ni-en,Storm told us to stay here with the kids,we must do as she says,If de' do not come back soon we will go in after them an this time mademoiselle if you want in on the action you may go an I will stay with zee kids."
Rogue thought about it"I wouldn't mind if you Don't"?
Kurt shook his head again"Ni-en you are most welcome to it I wont be much help I'm so exhausted for transport so many kids at once I wouldn't mind a break" He smiled an winked at Rogue.
Then its settled if they Don't come back in 20mins Rogue an I will go in to help will Kurt stays here with kids"Jean looked at the kids an felt sorry for them but smiled at the thought they now had a home that would always be there for them no matter how old they got,or different they we're from anyone else in the world.
The sentinels cloaked once again, making Matt paranoid.
He still couldn't detect him with his suit.
Walking into the nearest room on the right. He noticed lots of medical supplies and strange tools on the shelves.
walking further into to room he spotted a small body, covered up and lying on an operation table... He moved toward the body cautiously, when...
BANG! A spray of bullets ricocheted off the back of Matt's armor...
Matt quickly turned around only to see a man in a lab coat pointing a shotgun at him.
Morph shifted into an fly as he was behind the man he turned into an lion and pounced on him ."Don't make me turn into something else morph spoke as in went back to his human form."Your gonna tell us what you did to that kid, or I'll rip it from your mind"His brown eye turned white singaling that he was ready to use his telepathy.
A beam a light had ruptured the cloaking mechanism of the exoskeleton of the sentinals. The Light had shrank into a from of two men. As the ray light disappeared into one, a voice came from the man looking at them with his bright white eyes. "So there you are!"
The sentinals charged the two men as Loki turned to the man next to him screaming "Whoever knocks out the less, owes the other person beer" Loki than sent out a charge of electricity into one of the sentinals. The one than fell in tracks sliding into a shelf of books knocking it all on top of him. It was about to get up to shake it off but than a the brown seven foot book shelf fell few second later landing on top of it.
"HAHA thats one" {BZZZT!} an electrical stick was stroked into his back. He just turned to the sentinal with a response in saying "oh big mistake"
The man is the lab coat just started laughing maniacally staring Matt.
"It's too late"
The man said as he raised his hand and pointed to the table.
Matt looked over and the small body was nowhere to be found.
Quietly sneaking up behind him was ..what used to be... a small girl, but now a twisted merger of flesh and machine. Her arm morphed into a large jagged blade...
"AHHH"... She impaled Matt ripping the blade right through the back of his armor and lifting him up off the ground with incredible strength.
Her eyes lit up bright red, she sent pulses of electricity all throughout Matt and his suit. He blacked out once again... she was communicating with him.
He felt her pain, he saw her memories. She showed him everything the bad men did to her. She was suffering.
It was her that had been leading him to this place, she tapped into his suit using her body's nano-tech. But it was too late, she was unstable. The doc had screwed with her too much.
Letting out a loud scream she leaked out her nanites into his suit...
It was her final gift as she turned to a strange rust like material and the weight of Matt's body literally crushed her into dust as he came crashing to the ground in pain...
The boy blinked dazedly as the sudden burst onto the scene had left him half dazed. The jumbled words of the man next to him shook in his head along with the sound of angry sentinels
*SENTINELS*
The word itself charged all his senses as his battery like body began absorbing gratuitous amounts of energy from the surrounding destroyed and living Sentinels, "Oh this is gonna be fun.." the adolescent grinned and looked up at the man standing next to him, "Beer...I don't think i can LEGALLY accept that offer." he states in a joking manner before sending an enormous ball of energy hurtling into the nears two sentinels, "..and thats two, haha."
The sentinel arm stick electricity traveled through surges body. Pushing the metal head away from He put his hands together leaving his palms showing a glowing balls glowed in his hands as it was pure white light. The light was realised from the ball shooting into the chest of exo-skeleton sentinel. Surges hair than was blowing as if a gust of air blew by. The light disappeared just leaving melt glowing red metal from the sentinel torso. Surge than turned around back to the boy.
I looked down at this boy. He had mere talent as such young age and he didnt show sign of fear he was concentrating on his powers emerging a great force of power destroying them as they stand. Surge snapped back into reality when the boy gave him a smile of pure innocence. Chuckling with the boys remarks "Of course you would be drinking root beer, Surge didn't want the boy to enjoy killing others or just eliminating things period.
Surge than sent out a pulse of electricity that stroke the chips in the head of the sentinels. They all sent out a screeching sound as surge knelled down on the ground trying to breathe *Damn I shouldn't try to use that much power, it drains me* he thought to himself. Standing to his feet proudly looking at the boy laughing he winked at him "Don't worry the rootbeer float is still on me"
The boy chuckled at the "root beer" remark and replied, "Awww, I promise I won't tell." only half jokingly. His heart stopped as he felt the rush of energy surge from within Surge's body. The force of it caused the boy to go nauseous, so he only heard the soudn of the Sentinels falling to the floor as the wave of nausea coursed its way through his adolescent body.
Finally his head cleared and he looked up at Surge, "Wow...nice work."
Surge not realizing his pulse had affected the boy too but he had experience in killing and didn't enjoy much. It was more to do it by force than amusement. He could control the feeling and difference of the emotions of killing. Than again these things were just a mere of machinery no life at all. Smiling at the boy when he made his remark thinking *I've seen so many people enjoy this sport a little much and it ruined them.*
Putting his hand on the gifted kids head tossing his hair back and forth "what do you say we find the rest of the crew"
Kaos nodded as his hair was ruffled by Surge, "Sounds like a plan." The boy stood, dusting off his street clothes of board shorts and loose fitting tank top and began to procede forward in the wake of the destruction Surge had caused. The battery that was his body began to feel out with its tendrils searching for signs of energy elsewhere.
