What is the title of this movie??

I can’t seem to remember the title of this movie…it was based during WWII and an American and Japanese soldier were stranded on an island. Most of the movie they were sabotaging each other…but them became friends to survive. I thought the American soldier was played by either Robert Mitchum, or William Holden…but searched for both and have had no luck.

There is a film with an Australian solider and an Japanese soldier on an island, it's called " The Last Bullet " This might be what your looking for.
