I could talk about it all day long... if you are around a person who you make happy and they aren't used to it, they will fu.ck it up so they can be in the comfortable territory... misery.
Their negative thinking will only drag you down and make your life more stressful than it has to be.
Originally posted by T.V.O.T.I.I think that's a really good point - that's why there are people who are innately happy and people who are innately unhappy, even though they may have gone through similar experiences. For example, a day for two different people might go like this:
Is happiness contagious?
1. Won $1000
2. Got laid
3. Favorite pencil broke
4. Got a promotion at work
5. Dinner came out great
6. favorite sports team won the championship
An innately happy person would go to bed thinking, "Man, what a great game! And I can't wait to start my new position tomorrow. I wonder if I should move into a bigger place with my extra money from the raise. I'm going shopping with my 1000 tomorrow!"
An innately unhappy person would go to bed thinking, "Fuk, I had that pencil since I was three years old. I can't believe I broke it, I'm such an idiot. I'll never be able to replace it now".
It really comes down to - innately happy people will always find ways to find happiness. Innately unhappy people will always find ways to find unhappiness. Which is why some people can handle situations better than others. I got into a car wreck, I was annoyed, but I got a truck later...
Other people will just drag themselves down over things that are long in the past, when you try to bring someone up and dedicate time to it, it brings you down some. IF you can have that stick with them then you did something and can only wish them happiness.
GOD yes... its sad to watch a person destroy themselves like that... some want attention, but some are out on a mission.
I was at a volunteer thing, and this blind woman was upset she didn't get to participate in a particular activity... she cried and made a big fuss, people came to her attention and they let her participate, after that she was still WAILING and hollering. Why? Its either attention, a mission, or some just don't know what they want...
