I agree with you, when I jokingly say "I Am God", I'm talking about a connection not really being God. God to me, is the universe + everything else, and that includes you and I. When I read the words of Jesus; that is what I get out of them. I could be wrong, but it seems to agree with what I know about Buddhism. I cannot know everything and can never be absolutely sure, so, I have made a choice that my understanding is part of the truth. I believe that, when Jesus said “I Am” he was talking about a connection to “the Buddha that was enlightened in the remote past” (God).
