''Justin?'' Jess said confused. ''You know who I am, I'm your girlfriend...Jess, Batgirl is just my alternate idendity for fighting crime. You know that.''

Justin stumbled back as visions of a woman dressed in white inside what looked to be an old bar. "Let me.. See your face.."

Sam watched Justin carefully. "Stay calm Justin... Jess, be careful, he might go crazy again... I'm not sure he got enough blood."

''Sure.'' Jess looked around to make sure no one would see her true identity. Once the coast was clear, she pulled of her cowl.

Justin stumbled over and clutched his head, watching visions of them holding hands. "I.. I remember.." He whispered, huddling next to a wall. "That.. I loved you.."

''Yes...'' Jess put her arms around Justin's shoulders and hugged him tight. ''Sam... what did you do to him?''

Justin rested his head on her shoulder. "What now?" He whispered

Sam shook his head. "I don't know... I guess his mind was weakened from hunger... I might have caused some memory loss when I tried to subdue him when he ran. Hopefully his memory will come back after some rest."

''We have to get him back to the cave. He's not safe out here if his memory really is gone.'' Jess pulled her cowl back over her face.

Sam nodded. "Justin, come with us... we can help you." Sam said quietly, hoping not to attract attention from anyone who might pass by.

Justin stood. "O-Okay.." He said, staying close to Jess.

They began to head back to the bat-cave. And when they got there, it was not empty as it had been before. Batman was sitting at the control pannel. ''I thought I told you,'' he said,'' to never bring anyone back here, Jessica.''
''Dad, they're my friends!'' Jess fought back.

''I don't care who they are.'' Bruce stood up from his place at the control pannel.

''They needed a place to stay, dad, they were hurt.''

Sam stood in front of Jess. "Don't blame her, it was my fault... I let Jess and Justin get involved in my fight." Sam told Batman. "I led them against one of my most powerful adversaries without warning them of the dangers."

Justin straightened, popping a bone in his leg back into place. "I'm alright.." He said, the cuts and bruises from hitting the wall were already healed. "Whatever I am.. I heal rapidly.. You don't need to worry.. " He looked at Batman and stumbled back, having a vision of Jess's mother again. "Ergh.. I need help.. Remembering.."

''Justin's lost his memory, Dad!'' Jess said, nearly in tears.

Bruce had nothing more to say, he merely looked at his daughter and disappeared out of the cave and back up the elevator to the secret entrance to the mansion above.

Giovanna held her child in her arms. Bruce entered the mansion.

Sam watched Bruce leave. He knew Bruce wasn't a bad man, but he had no patience for unexpected arrivals. "Sorry." Sam said under his breath.

Tom saw Bruce enter the mansion and knew not to bother him. "Note to self... don't get in the way of Bruce Wayne... you will end up regretting it." Tom thought to himself as he backed into a shadow to make himself hard to see.

Giovanna looked up at Bruce. "Good evening, Mr. Wayne."

''Good evening...'' Bruce said, nodded then walked off.
Meanwhile, back in the Batcave, Jess had changed back into her normal clothes and was sitting with Justin.
''Can you remember anything?''
