Yes there is. If you use the wrong slang word in the wrong context and direct it at the wrong person, you can get your ass kicked, homes.

What's wrong with saying "nigga," ese, is that it's ****ing racist—originally it was a racist term, as we all know... But it's almost equally as racist nowadays, because of the people who can/can't say it, and the context in which one can/can't use it. It also contributes to the stereotype of black people as ign'ant dumbasses who can't spell and get excited when they hear drum machines.

It's really not the same as saying "dude" or "ese" at all.

Go see the movie "Bamboozled" and you'll understand.
