While speaking of God being real or not, ppl usually expect that God show itself to our physical senses with visual effects and everything... but there are things that are real, and can not be seem visually, or heard... like thoughs, concepts, and even more physical things like photons, neutrons, eletrons, and specially neutrinos can´t be seem, but they exist.
P.S. : Photons are particles of light, but they just provoke the sensation of seeing something, we do not see them.
i really doubt there is a real god. i mean your telling me that a man made the earth and animals with his bare hands. he just said i want men and i want amimals and poof they appeared. i really doubt it. i have to go with the theory of evolution where people were evolved over time. really if you ask me the bible was a book written long time ago and people were so desperate to believe in some one who could bring them food that they believed the book and thought that there was a "superior being". so to answer your question yes god is and always was dead.

I think you are talking about the Christian god. I would agree with you if that was what you are saying. However, there are more interpretations of God than the Christian view and more books of truth than just the bible. I am a Buddhist and I study the Lotus Sutra and my view of God is that the entire universe is a living being and you and I are a part of this God. You do not have to believe in gravity to stay on the ground, as you don’t have to believe in the universe for the universe (God) to exist. 😄

When Nietzche wrote those words, he didn' t mean the death of a literal god, but the death of the shared cultural belief in a god in Europe. He meant that the Christian notion of god is dead, that this notion has become unbelievable.
Of course.
But Nietzche never had anything good to say regarding Christianity or religion in general. (or women for that matter)
God died long time ago, not only in Christianity but in most other traditions and religions.
