Harry Potter: Book Seventh

well, I have just finished reading the first seventeen posts of this story (which is all that is writen thus far, inncidentally)

It's pretty good so far, but there are a few things that didn't really match up with what is believed to happen in the last book.

One, didn't Margonigal (sp?) already try to find stuff out from Harry, but he didn't tell her because he believed that Dombeldore wanted him to keep it all secret? (as for it to least likely get out into the open)

Two, well....this isn't all that important....but the bridemaids dress's were not supposed to be pink, because "They would clash 'orribly with Ginny's 'air."

but other then that and a few spelling errors (which I don't mind, seeing as I am horrible with spelling.)

Unfortunately, it's been pretty long since I've last read the sixth book (😮). So, yes, they're may be few continuity "errors," or what have you.

For the McGonagall thing... well, Harry has finally come to terms with his position as a member of the Order and with the journey ahead of him. He knows he won't be able to do it completely alone, so he's decided it wouldn't hurt to tell the Order members about Dumbledore's death, etc.

Also, don't forget what George and Fred proposed: Some of the Order members may know more about that night than they are letting on...

For the dress thing: Ginny certainly wouldn't have picked pink (She's not that kind of girl!), but, regrettably, Fleur's absolute favorite color is pink (She is that kind of girl. 😛), and she wouldn't have her bridesmaids in any other color! 😄

Hope that clears things up (slightly). 😛

Well it is a matter of opinion for the McGonagall thing. Some, like you, think that Harry will eventually tell her and/or other members of the Order about the things that he and Dumbledore had discussed. And I respect others ideas on that, since none of use really know how that part will play out in the actual book.

But I still must disagree with you on the dresses. All that I could remember about the plans for the wedding was when Harry walked in on Fleur and Mrs. Weasley talking, and Fleur was saying,

“…Bill and I ‘ave almost decided on only two bridesmaids, Ginny and Gabrielle will look very sweet togezzer. I am theenking of dressing zem in pale gold – pink would of course be ‘orrible with Ginny’s ‘air--”

Though, since she was only thinking about it, she could have easily changed her mind over the year of time to the wedding.

Incidently, Fleur was just saying that to Mrs. Weasley to make her feel better (Mrs. Weasley, like Ginny, would rather not have pink dresses for the bridesmaids.). After thinking it over, though, Fleur decided pink would be a better choice than pale gold, and so chose pink. 😛

Well, coming in to this thread, not bothering to leave a comment that's on-topic or even about the story, only to spam and advertise your own story isn't exactly the most thoughtful thing to do. 😬

though you should know, seing as you have been a member since july 28th. But you didn't know.....so.....yeah.

But, they wouldn't know that you didn't know....so perhaps you were not being unthoughtful, since you didn't know.

But they weren't being inconsiderate by telling you to stop, since they did not know that you did not know that it was wrong.
