I'm afraid to hit on women, and I really don't have any friends out side of work...aren't many pretty women at a moving company.
My problem is I'm just not confident enough to approach a woman, I feel like I'm automatically in the wrong by doing so...especially when I'm working.
They've been trying to get me to shout at hot women up at the city while I'm working. They know it won't work, they're just trying to get me out of my shell.

Its really in your own point of view and how you look at the world.. it could be any setting and a girl would still be a girl, mind you all girls are different but it doesn't stop them from wanting the same things. Just work at your own pace and they will come to you. I'm really bad at giving relationship advice because I don't follow it myself but it's good advice. (hehe)

Unfortunately for me it also takes initiative...
I'm alone, anyone who isn't established at my age and is uncomfortable taking initiative with complete strangers, which is bad enough, can't do it right.

Everyones alone even if your with someone. We all die alone. It does take a deal of practice at your level, just learn to lighten up dont take life so seriously.. if you get turned down you get turned down; its not like you will have that emotional connection right away.. (and if you do, its not real, rarely) Don't listen to your boys, I might be gay but I know peer pressure to well, the only reason they do that is because they themselves can't and they just want to seem bad ass making you do something you dont want to do. (they just want to see you make a fool out of yourself)
My trick is easy, just pretend to be someone else that always works. This someone else is more braver than you, more confident and more dearing because he lives in the moment. (you can even make a new name for youself, lie if u have to) But in most cases just being upfront to a girl is a turn on, tell her hi first by introducing yourself... then tell her your boys wanted to see me talking to you, "pretend to like me", then tell her what to do, girls like it when guys take charge! Then tell her ok now im going to pretend to write your number and you smile and walk away... (if shes a cool girl she will laugh it off and think ur sweet)
The best turn on to a girl is confidence even if its not real and just on the surface.

Let me tell you I've had a lot of bums as friends in my life (st8 friends) and girls dont care if your a bum are unemployed or are living with your parents... They really only care about whether you treat them right and communicate well enough to stand your ground. At your age what? When I was in school there was a grandma with white hair going back to school for upgrading (girls just want to see you trying to improve yourself) But if you find a dumb one then she wont care.
Rule one# If you dont believe its possible then it wont happen so dont bother wasting yourtime if your nervous under pressure. But if you believe it will happen then you will find success. don't make excuses for yourself because then you will believe them to be true and they will become true.
A confident guy would go up to his buddies and say I can't do it can you show me how its done. (he will say but I have a girlfriend) You will say, so you can't do it? Then if he's a man he will go do it himself.

A cynical attitude doesn't work with me, I can't get the hang of being an douchebag, I end up being called an A-hole instead of reeling them in. Perhaps because I lack the ego-centrism, or because the women I'm attracted to are nice just by nature.
Always be yourself. Douchebags aren't the only ones who have relationships, they just have the shortest ones.
