Dumbledores death is staged
Consider this? Dumbledore and Snape switched identities a number of times through the book. Could Dumbledore have attepted to kill snape at the end - if they had switched identities. Only someone truly evil, someone capable of cold-blooded murder, can effectively use an unforgivable curse. J.K. tells us this in book five. (“You need to mean them Potter! You need to really want to cause pain – to enjoy it. -- HPatOOTP pg.808). Also we are told by snape that potions can "..even put a stopper in death"
Reasons for change of identity.
*Dumbledores insistence on telling Harry his favourite Jam - Rasberry for being sure of his identity.
*Similar instance with Mr. Weasly returning to burrow ensuring identity of Mrs Weasley and himself.
*The Polyjuice potions significance in the books.
*Snape healed Malfoys wounds with a wand, when Harry attacked Malfoy.
The same trick was performed when Dumbledore healed himself after cutting himself when entering the cave where the supposed Horcrux was kept.Coincidence - I think not.
*Snapes behaviour with wormtail, Bellatrix and Narcissa. He spoke like Dumbledore - even charming - spoke with clear Dumbledore like logic.
Why was wormtale there? Was it wormtail at all. wearing a glove of silver" perhaps it was Snape pretending to be wormtail wearing a silver glove? p29" His left hand was caressing his right, which looked as thoough it were encased in a bright silver glove" While Dumbledore met with Narcissa? Or could Dumbledore has=ve been Wormtail "Caressing his right" because he had injured it recently?
*Snape was able to make the promise because it was he who was attacked at the end not Dumbledore.
*Snape had never taught Defence against the Dark Arts before. Perhaps it wasn't him teaching.
*Harry was told to keep his invisibilty cloak at all times by Dumbledore. Does this hint at a plan.
*Harry was made to watch unable to move.
*If the Death eaters witnessed 'Snape' murder Dumbledore, he would become accepted by all death eaters even Voldemort himself. Remember Snape is a highly skilled Occlumens.
*Last of all. Dumbledore died too easily. The search for the Horcrux seems a folly. His absolute faith in Snape seems misguided. Doesn't sound like the all knowing, wise and powerful wizard we consider Dumbledore to be.

*A word to those who discount this theory. There were times when Harry was not with Dumbledore and changes could have been made. I believe it was Snape who ran away at the end and Dumbledore who was burned. This does not mean he is dead e.g.
J.K. has already told us how Dumbledore would handle that little slight of hand. In book five, during the scene in the headmaster’s office where Fudge, Umbrigde and Dawlish try to apprehend Dumbledore. (Fawkes circled the office and swooped low over him. Dumbledore released Harry, raised his hand, and grasped the Phoenix’s long golden tail. There was a flash of fire and the pair of them had gone.” – HPatOOTP pg. 622) Dumbledore had gone into hiding. J.K. employs this device again in book six during Dumbledore’s burial scene. (“Bright, white flames had erupted around Dumbledore’s body and the table upon which it lay: Higher and higher they rose, obscuring the body. White smoke spiraled into the air and made strange shapes: Harry thought for one heart-stopping moment, that he saw a phoenix fly joyfully into the blue, but the next second the fire had vanished. In its place was a white marble tomb, encasing Dumbledore’s body and the table on which he had rested. – HPatHBP pg.645) Again, I believe Dumbledore has gone into hiding.

*From the first book, The Sorcerer’s Stone, Snape is grilling Harry about his knowledge of potions. He mentions two items, a bezoar and a sleeping potion. (“For your information, Potter, asphodel and wormwood make a sleeping potion so powerful it is known as the Draught of Living Death. A bezoar is a stone taken from the stomach of a goat and it will save you from most poisons.” -- HPSS pg.138)
*The next time J.K. mentions these together again is in Book Six. (“Harry stared at these words for a moment. Hadn’t Snape mentioned them in their first-ever Potions lesson? ‘A stone taken from the stomach of a goat will save you from most poisons.’” -- HPatHBP pg. 377) and then (“Dumbledore drank three goblets full of the potion…Dumbledore did not answer. His face was twitching as though he was deeply asleep.” -- HPatHBP pg. 571). Even his portrait, as McGonagall notices in the Headmasters Office, is only asleep.

*If you play the Potions game on the Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone DVD extra features. The color of the potion, when you mix asphodel and wormwood, is Green…just like the one Dumbledore drinks in book Six (“Dumbledore peered more closely into the basin. Harry saw his face reflected, upside down, in the smooth surface of the green potion.” – HPatHBP pg. 568)

*Who better to cure themselves of a poison?

Let me know if you agree or if you have more supporting evidence of Snape and Dumbledore switching identities?
