I don't pretend that my choices are classics, or even the indisputable greatest moments. They're just scenes that shocked me, or touched me, or tickled my funny bone. So my choices are, in no particular order:

Wolverine diving off a balcony onto Harry Leland, who uses his mass-increasing power at exactly the wrong moment, sending them both crashing through the floor (Dark Phoenix Saga)
Hyperion smashing Holocaust's helmet, and snorting up his power like a junkie. Whoa! (Exiles: King Hyperion)
Beak facing down the insanely powerful and simply insane Hyperion, saying, "My powers are good for nothing... I'm nowhere near a match for you... the only thing I've ever been any good at is making friends... so here are two new friends of mine." And then enter the other two Hyperions for a reckoning with their evil twin. (Exiles: King Hyperion)
Rose Wilson stabbing out her own eye. I put the book down and said, "Damn girl, that's hardcore." (Outsiders)
The little mutant girl in the reporter's basement (Marvels)
Magneto ripping the adamantium out of Wolverine (X-Men)
Radioactive Man trying to hail a cab. Can someone help a brotha out! (Thunderbolts)

Hyperion hovering above planet Earth (Supreme Power)
Wonder Man going apeshit on Michael Korvac and dying anyway. Hawkeye taking Korvac's girlfriend hostage in an attempt to stave off Korvac's attack. (Korvac Saga)
Mockingbird letting that rapist Phantom Rider fall to his death (Avengers)
Colossus snapping Scrambler's necks, and saying, "Harpoon, pray to your gods, because you're next!" (Morlock Massacre)
Rorsarch screaming, "I'm not trapped in here with you! You're trapped in here with ME!" (Watchmen)

I only really get DC stuff in TPB (or by downloading if it looks interesting ie: GL Rebirth)
