What Will Happen to Christianity?

There are strong liberal trends among Christians in the United States and Europe - but the same trends are not repeated everywhere in the world. In most places, the growth of Christianity is accompanied by a growth in conservatism, traditionalism, and orthodoxy. What will the next years bring to Christianity?

I believe very strong polarisations.....But climaxing into what?...Hmmm

The Bible states that in the latter days, many will turn away from faith in Jesus Christ. Christianity will suffer tremendously in numbers of members, and it will be perverted. Christianity has always been attacked, but such trends are becoming more and more apparent, especially in the United States. The world is on a downward spiral, and things are only going to get worse. In the end, however, many will be woken out of their false sense of security during the Great Tribulation. Jesus Christ will collect His church (those who seek salvation in His name) and the rest will be eternally seperated from God.

What a positve outlook on the future.. 😐

Well ushomefree is taking that message from Matt. 24, but that was about the the destruction of Jerusalem surrounded by the Romans...Historical.

Depending on what denomination would tell you what view is to come...pre trib, mid trib, or post trib....

Orthodox Christianity is much different to the CAtholisism or any other branch - its evolution has had different way.

Much like Christianity else where, it will eventually evolve - it has to. So will other religions, i would imagine.

.

Hmmmmmm you see it as evolving?....The Bible based hard core believers will never budge, not unless the Bible is proved wrong, but since it's all based on faith, I don't think it will evolve, but will become more polarized.....

Again, you seem not to make any distinction between Eastern Orthodox Christianity and Bible Belting Batist and Catholics in America.

Eastern Orthodox Christianity had a very different history and evolution. For one, noone was burned to the stake in the name of the Eastern Orthodox church, and in almost all Eastern Orthodox Christian country, abortion is legal and there are no debates about it becoming otherwise, as an example.
Great number of these countres are not run on the bible.

The culture and the ways of the Christians who have been opressed under the Ottoman rule for over 500 years (Particulary refering to Greece, Cyprus, Macedonia, Serbia, bulgaria and parts of former USSR) is very different to those in America who were always the one opressing, begining from Pagans around western Europe, to the native Indians in America.

You're correct, I don't know much about the Eastern Orthodox faiths...I was only referring to what I consider the mainline Christianity that was the other branch....I knew there was a split back at Constantinople (sp), I think...I was referring to the Religions of the Vatican and Protestant denominations...

200 years.Then it goes.......................blowup

You think?....But we're gonna die in 2012... 😑 😂 Oh, but now it 2036.....

Things are going to get very horrid for Christians, even those in America. There are already concentration camps and guillotines set to imprison and then murder millions of Christians.

But in the end the Christians faithful to Jesus will have the ultimate victory over sin, death, the grave, the lake of fire, and over the devil and the false prophet and the beast.

Yes, just like Green mythology. 😄

As time proceeds, humanity's insight and view of life will only keep growing until the point of a world full of rational politics, and misinformation only to start useless wars will never happen again, because then the world will lead by the people/for the people instead of a some sort of elite group.

Although I hate everything and everyone, I have high hopes for the future, whether religion will survive, remains to be seen. Maybe we will get a higher sense of God, maybe it will turn out that there is nothing between heaven and earth after all.
We can only see.. Ahh...

There are no such things. But I think, personally, that Christianity and all other religions will be the end of the world. I see a great war in the future, led by a fool of a religion who thinks they are god or have been chosen by god or something and try to take down the other religions. My views picture this person being a Christian. It will be a rise in power possibly for Christianity, but it will also lead to the downfall of it and the other religions. The world will either be destroyed or people will open their eyes soon enough before the war and rise up against it this person and others to save it.... Oh, this would make a interesting book...
