JP's going to do basically whatever she wants on this forum, if you're going to last here I suggest you learn to ignore her, like I and just about everyone else did.
That said...
What I think has been largely missed in the reviews up to this point is that this episode establishes two telling possibilities in the relationship between Lex and Clark. Which possibility is the case depends on whether or not Clark becomes Superman in this reality, a fact that isn't made clear in Lex's visions.
Possibility 1- Clark *is* Superman. If this is the case, then we know that Martha, Jonathan, and Chloe know. Lex and Lana, however, are left in the dark. Clark was never able to tell either of them, which is rather significant in its own right. Clark never tells Lana (I believe he did in the comics, but that's obviously beside the point), which answers a question that people have been asking for awhile.
Possibility 2- Clark is *not* Superman. This, in my eyes, is even more illuminating, as it shows that, in order for Clark to fulfill his destiny, he had to be motivated by his opposition to Lex, and thus he required Lex's downfall. If that's the case, then we have Lex to thank for (unwittingly) helping to create Superman.
