FF10 never really did anything for me, I mean it was pretty to look at and the VA was a refreshing change (not that there's anything wrong with text boxes , it's just sitting there for half an hour flicking through a conversation get's a little irritating).
But overall it failed for me. Sphere grid was annoying , characters were...meh ( Auron ; while a bad-ass , seemed to be the only one who was actually 'FIT' for a ff role ) , the villains seemed to switch repeatedly , one minute it's sin then seymour then sin again !
I HATED the focus of the aeons within the storyline, I understand it was a major plot point and all, but it still felt too much like FF8's dependency on GF's for my liking.
Some of the limit's (Desperation attacks/Overdrive/Trance/Quickenings , take your pick) were pretty cool though.
