Why did Catwoman flop?

Why did Catwoman flop?

With such a sexy lead lady and all the usual fight gore action why did catwoman suck so bad? i think it's the worst of the lot. but what do you think?

Because it had absolutely nothing to do with Catwoman.

I think that was what bothered the fans most.

And it wasn't good in terms of acting...in terms of anything.

Because Halle Berry is overrated and the custome look like crap.

My first glimpse of that costume, I knew it would be crap, and they weren't doing it seriously. And when I found out it wasn't even Selina Kyle, that was the last straw.

It flopping is proof of justice in the world.

1. Catwoman had a different name, race, and story
2. Bad writing I assume, I never saw it
3. Bad directing too probably
4. Bad acting probably
5. Complete disregard for the true identity of the character
6. Chick superheroes aren't as popular
7. There was no demand for it.
8. Marketing even made it look bad
9. Costume was wrong

1. We see sexy ladies and movies with fights and gore on a daily basis. So the orign level was lost there.

2. Comic fans could care less because it:
A. Was not set in gotham city.
B. Acted like the Batman Universe did not exist.

3. From what I heard it was a crap movie to begin with, and all of the prerelease reviews lampooned it.

I agree about the name. I thought it was dumb making it a movie about A Catwoman and not THE Catwoman. Just using the name to try to bring in the comic book crowd I guess. Comic book nerds are bitter though so that was a big mistake.

Besides, it was directed by some odd freak.

hahaha yea seriously, they thought it was named Catwoman and comic fans would consequently go watch it?

they should know and EXPECT comic book fans to be outraged for their idiocy

I was unfortunate enough to see it on HBO a while ago. Halle is one of the sexiest, most beautiful women in the world, but she obviously doesn't know a horrible script when she sees one. This movie still could have been good if they didn't let fetuses write and direct it. Even the camera work was bad. This is as bad as that "Birds of Prey" show from a while back. I wish there'd be @ least one good female comic book flick. I haven't seen Aeon Flux yet. Maybe that's the one.

The first good female comic flick I think is gonna end up being Wonder Woman...however...I may be speaking too soon lol

If the can make a good WW flick, they deserve the Nobel prize. 😆 WW bores the Hell outta me.

Same here lol. Still, she's better than friggin Hawkgirl

I like HG on JLU

Like we said - we're still waiting for the first good female comic-book film. 😉
