Natsumi blinked and took the pencil in her hand. She began to scribble down on the paper. She wrote, "My name is Natsumi. I cannot talk as you have guessed. I need nothing from you but was on my way to get a glass of water. It is nice to meet you Dinin." She handed the paper back to him and began to walk away rather quickly, not wanting to have to write on paper to talk to him.
Dinin waved. "I guess I'll see you later?" He said, turning back to Rand. "And how do you suppose that is?" He asked, sticking the notebook and the pencil back into his bag.
Natsumi walked out of the school building. She turned to walk off the grounds and go somewhere quiet where she could relax. She spotted a bench not far away. With a small smile, Natsumi walked towards it. She sat down upon the wooden structure. She pulled her hair back into a ponytail, no longer needing to hide her eyes from others. Natsumi stared up at the sky and slowly closed her eyes. As soon as she closed them, it seemed like a voice came out of no where.
"Well hello there.."
Natsumi snapped her eyes open and spun around to face a strange man. He was grinning at her in an evil way. "How're you today sweetheart?"
Natsumi could not answer but merely looked away. Her chin was grasped roughly in the palm of the stranger's hand. "What's wrong? Aren't you going to answer my question?" Natsumi still remained silent as her fingers trembled in fear. The man was getting annoyed. Without warning he struck her across the face. Natsumi opened her mouth to cry out but nothing came. The man noticed this and chuckled. "Well at least I dont have to worry about you screaming..." He moved towards her, crashing his lips on hers. Natsumi swung her leg up and kicked the man right between the legs. She bolted away as fast as she could. "You little...!" The man's footsteps thundered behind her as she tried to push herself forward. Suddenly, Natsumi was tackled and pinned to the ground. She began to weep silently, trying to urge a scream out of her muted throat.
