I'm aware that this has been argued. But until it is explicitly explained away, it's still PIS, and still bullshit in my opinion.

Wolverine surviving Nitro is bullshit until it gets explained away, even if there HAVE been some propsals as to how.

Same with Drax and Thanos.

Of course it was a Plot Device Moment but obviously he had the means to break through just Thanos' shield

Yeah I don't think this will end up like Wolverine's Plot Device because Drax was made to Kill Thanos by a higher power if Death wasn't protecting him Drax could have the means to dispell Thanos' powers

Yeah, This newly resurected Drax was Thanos' Kryptonite shall we say. And Thanos knew it wasnt worth fighting for because of Death's acceptance of him (finally)

Remember Thanos was surprised when he saw his own heart in front of him, plus, he wanted to release Galactus in time, so I doubt he just let his shield down like that.

This is what the editor of Annihilation, Andy Schmidt, says about how Drax killed Thanos on another message board:

It's pretty simple, really. Drax has other powers that precent Thanos' natural Eternal-atom-control thing from working when he's around. Remember, Drax was created to kill Thanos. He probably couldn't beat Thor in a fight, heck, he'd have a tough time beating Wolverine perhaps, but Thanos he can kill.

Drax is essentially the right tool for the job. Heck, Superman couldn't kill Thanos--Galactus can't kill Thanos, can barely hurt him. But Drax CAN KILL him. That's what he was designed to do.

As for one panel, it took Drax the whole darn issue to get there. It took him several pages in the same room to get through the force field and such to get to Thanos. I personally think one great splash page is way more effective than 25 pages of the two of them beating each other up would have been. That's a matter of taste and we'll just disagree, I suppose.

IMO there is really little room for loose interpretation. we clearly see drax going goatsee on the shield, then once thanos saw his lady love he got distracted, then CHAKT results in his heart being ripped out

My god are we the only two people on this forum who have noticed this... It was stated like two months ago that Annihilation takes place before Civil War, but now it seems as though its taking place during it.

I said this from the begginning, and i still hold to it... I beleive Annihilation is going to be the cause for the end of Civil War. All the heroes are going to realize what they're fighting for its so small compared to what is going on in the Universe. They will unite, along with the united front and all the other cosmics, and find a way to beat the Wave.

Ill probably get bashed for saying this, but i don't care its my opinion and hopeful wish that this happens. 😛

It could be the reason why Civil War ends but I don't want it to be.
