You went to Peru to sell some 'stuff' for your mom. While you were there, you visited family. You were there for two days and sold your things, then left.
On the less personal note, the customs agents did not care about what was in the bags. They did not bother asking you to declare your items or fill out the paperwork because they did believe your excuse which was the truth. You also were not dealing in illegal substances, but you did somehow make a profit off of the trip.
