I didn't intend to snap at you the way I did, but you made that statement very open ended by not directing it at specific people.
I support Dande simply because of his TYPES of powers. The very fact that Venom is vulnerable to fire and lightning means that he may very well be incapable of even attacking Dante when he's using Ifrit, Alastor, Electro Heart, Flame Heart, Nevan, or Agni & Rudra, simply because Dante's aura in DT involves being incased in the very element represented by each of these weapons.
well you had some good arguments I must say. Its a pretty tough fight to say who is the real winner, according to me I still bet my money on Venom, he's much stronger, faster and he also has a few weapons. He forms blades that can cut the skin. Not very deep, but enough to draw blood, enough to hurt, enough to weaken. Carnage did it in MC. Of course if Dante gets some hits on Venom with his weapons then yes he can beat Venom but for me it aint likely to happen but yes there is a small chance he could still win.

Under normal fighting conditions I would agree with you, Venom is both agile and speedy, certainly no pushover by any standards, lus the ability to move like a liquid is a distinct tactical advantage, but as was pointed out earlier, the use of either Quicksilver or Alastor would speed up Dante considerably, effectively eliminating any of Venom's speed advantages, and as I mentioned earlier, Dante's elemental power would simply prevent venom from even closing in.
And then comes in things like Untouchables...
if dante doesnt use agni rudra to surround himself with fire tornado thingy (swordmaster style) then venom will win automatically due to venoms break neck speed
but if dante uses agni rudra with fire tornado thingy and surround himself with it then venom will NEVER stand a chance.
now the question is does dante know that venom's weakness is fire?
if dante doesnt know, then dante will die. if he uses agni rudra by mere chance and do the dance macabre version of agni/rudra then venom is incinerated.

Anyone who knows the DMC Games knows that Dante is well beyond regular human capability, the very fact that he is a Half Demon, and his father is perhaps one of the stronest demons in hell should tell you a little more than "Dante loses cause he's human...."

AHEM, Dante can use one of the most easily used and one of the best attacks from DMC1(which is an good reason for him to use it): Inferno, which is more powerfull than Agni & Rudras fire tornado and should be more effective considering it's a inferno, like fire only.
And Dante in Sparda form is as good as imortal (DUH) and is Venom even close to that? No, didnt think so either.
He can FREEZE TIME, what is Venom gonna do then? Yeah, Venom cant do anything at that point (du-uuuuu-uh).
The only guys I know of who can beat Dante in Sparda form is guys as strong as Supes, or the Sonic team with all the chaoz emeralds and Alucard and many other guys (Venom not included ofcourse)
And Jonh Bak'or, use the edit option ffs.

Quicksilver does not "Stop Time" but it slows it down an absolute shitload, combine that wth Alastors Speed enhancement or Quick Heart and you've got a very fast SOB.
Venom will take this for sure... why? cuz he has something Dante doesnt have: A 'spider-sense' not to mention he has also superhuman agility and reflexes etc. etc. If you combine these things it would be nearly impossible for Dante to even attack Venom. And if dante would use a fire-sword he will have difficult as hell to hurt Venom, I've seen Venom takes LARGE AMOUNTS of fire and sonics, and still standing on his legs and smiling that evil grin of his. What can Dante do to possibly begin to hurt Venom when he is in Sparda-form? Venom has faced alot tougher guys than Dante, like Hulk for example or Juggernaut.
