I dont see what's so hard to understand, Dante stops time and blasts Terry in the head, this is clearly a 100 % missmatch. Dante outclasses in every thinkable aspect, Dante is something Terry only can dream about beating.

If I remember correctly, Terry's attacks did not phase Mars until Sulia injured herself. I think it is common knowledge that when the female (mother, wife, sister, etc.) or someone close to a warrior is hurt, he is automatically given the strength of ten gods. (Just an example) That's why Terry won that battle. It doesn't matter which version of Dante is fighting Terry, Dante will win.
