I don't agree with that scene. Thor should not have been able to stalemate Savage Hulk in a contest of strength.
that was actually a high strength feat for hulk at the time, even thor was a bit perplexed by the strength midgard could produce.

The reboot begins. With a reboot of DC, the previous fts doesn't belong the characters does it? Its basically a start over.

Depends on the character, as some will be partially effected, others drastically, and others not really changed all that much.

It's going to be a case by case basis for the most part.

The guy who created both Thor and Hulk stated that at the very beginning Thor was supposed to be stronger than Hulk. 🙂

^ Source? Not denying it, just never heard it before

Lee said the concept for Thor was centered around the question "how do you make someone stronger than the strongest human? Make them a god." They decided to look into Norse myth as they felt Greek/Roman myth had been looked into already and people were too familiar with it.

i don't remember the source either, but i did get that from lee's works somewhere

Hulk strongest there is! durhulk

Of course, things have since changed since Lee's days, and I doubt anyone would (or should) use that statement as proof that Thor is = to Hulk or stronger physically.

Thor = power; Hulk = strength, imo.

Hulk strongest powerest there is! durhulk

making the respect thread is finally taking a toll on ODG

So who isn't affected by it?

Pretty much yeah. Dick might have been Batman, but you can't use his feats.

yeah man, they don't give you that same feeling the old ones did.

oh wow, so it's a true reboot then.

sort of. some events have still happened, but its a minority rather than a majority.

everyone is in a way. some are just bigger than others, like superman.

Kind of a loaded question at this point. Origins/early events seem to have been changed for a good deal of DC's characters, primarily the Justice League, but events such as Blackest Night/Brightest Day/War of the Green Lanterns have been said to have occurred, so those events either have been completely or mostly keep intact.

Really, we'll have to wait a while before we can ultimately determine for 100% what is 100% canon.

Ultimately, it's for the best to just keep DCnU feats separate from DCU ones, imo.

There is a thread to discuss the reboot.

Last comment about the reboot but I just think its kind of stupid but in a way, I can see it as beneficial.

I think it's right on schedule, tbh.
