Supposedly Wanda sought Doom's help to unlock her powers before the events of Disassembled and the full power drove her mad. Which for a recon makes perfect sense in that it's related to the other time Wanda lost her mind as well as explaining the power amp and her out of character actions.

Yup, that's why the HoM hype is overblown. She's not even unique. There were other Nexus Beings in that arc including Jean Grey, Odin, and Vision (I think).

It was actually Immortus who focused the powers of several Nexus Beings into the Scarlett Witch back in West Coast Avengers.
