That Thor is not bulletproof. I mean okay, he was vulnerable to bullets during the Silver Age but it didn't make that much sense, and Thor was definitely bulletproof by the nineties. Even by the 70's, he was able to take shots from anti-tank weapons to the chest.
Ask Busiek though and Thor can take an energy blast/punch as well as any high herald but his vulnerable to bullets. His even dismissed evidence presented as artistic errors, coloring mistakes etc. It got to he point where Thor can shrug off a missile but needs to duck from a hand gun and it doesn't have to make sense because of magic. Paraphrasing but that's basically what he said.
I personally found it silly that Deadshot would present more danger than the Silver Surfer or a blast from a Skyfather to Thor.

Priest is an alright guy but according to him Busiek told him/suggested to have Thor be the one to get shot from what I remember.
