Yea, Carver is batshit insane.

Marvel obviously prefers the Hulk, not admitting that at this point would just be self delusion on my part.

Another friend described the movie to me (He focused on all of the characters), and man, I'm actually kind of ticked at myself because I can't wait to see some of Hulk's scenes. None of the trailers have even shown half of what he does in the movie, and it all sound awesome.

Thor on the other hand,

Spoiler:
comes in 40 minutes into the movie, and besides the Hulk fight (Which ends up with him flat on his back), slams down a metal slab that Hulk threw into one of those giant serpents. That's about all Thor does of note, everything else is apparently him just fighting canon fodder and a decent fight with Loki (Their original was supposedly better).

There's even one scene

Spoiler:
where after defeating some guys and standing side by side, Hulk hits Thor in the back and sends him flying into a wall. For absolutely no reason! He just does it, and I gotta admit it sounds kind of funny. Although it really feels like a kick in the pants to me. On top of that, after Loki talks shit, Hulk solo, beats the utter living shit out of him, he then calls him a puny god.

😂 It's like they're trying to piss off Thor fans.

Heck, even the parts where a flying brick would be perfect for are taken by the Hulk such as saving Iron Man or uppercutting one of those Serpents (This sounds like a ridiculous strength feat by the way, greater than anything else he's done before; tears the thing to pieces and rapes it's corpse). Thor comes off feeling really useless compared to the big guy, not just because Hulk's strong, but Thor comes off as ineffective for a god.

I wouldn't have as much of a problem with it if we didn't already have a Thor movie which obviously tried to make him formidable and nigh unstoppable in combat. A shame, but whatever, shit happens.

There's already talks about a new Hulk movie, let's not kid ourselves, the guys in charge obviously tried very hard to push the Hulk (While for some reason neglecting Thor), it's probably going to happen. I'm no assh*le, I hope it's successful and this time around it probably will be. A new Hulk cartoon is coming out as well.

I am disappointed with the fact that there still seems to be this idea that Thor's a hard sell. If handled well, we know he can be successful and magic/mythology really can be popular based on what we've seen. I hope the cancelled Thor animated series sees the light of day but I doubt it.

Being the Wonder Woman of Marvel really sucks, I don't know how her fans have handled it so long. I guess their character wasn't Superman for 70 years, which makes it a lot worse in this case.

😂 Wow. I gotta wonder if the same people behind Hulk vs... are involved in this?

I feel your pain, but, its times like this I really feel lucky to be more of a DC fan.

edit: was Whedon behind Hulk vs?

Sigh*... Like I said before, Thor is getting at least the same amount of shine or probably more. I provided showings but it doesn't matter.

1. No he isn't.
2. No you didn't.

Hulk gets pride of place in any media both are in. Cartoons, movies, comics; I really don't see how you think that Thor is getting the same exposure.

Just because his movie was better than both the Hulk ones combined doesn't mean he's reaching a wider audience.

In the new Avengers cartoon, Thor was presented in more shows IIRC. Had two cartoon movies, one starring him as a child and he also had a small solo show as well. Then he had his own movie (just like the Hulk), they even had to give Thor a small showing in Hulks own animated movie...etc, etc. They are about a tie but whatever...it doesn't matter. All of this is your opinion.

Carver, leave Pr alone or I'm turning this car around.

Hulk has always been beating up on thor in the media.

There was a Hulk vs Thor animated movie and Hulk pretty much beat up thor and all of asgard while Odin was in odin sleep.

Yes and that movie has been mentioned several times

They were both in avengers cartoon, both in the ultimate avengers movie, and both in the avengers movie.

Thor has a live action film, and an animated film. He was in hulk vs thor, and he had a cameo in planet hulk. he had a movie tie in game, and is a character in ultimate alliance 2 and marvel vs capcom 3

Hulk has 2 live action films, 2 animated films (three if u count the hulk vs shorts as seperate, Two animated series, a long running live action series, 3 made for tv movies, a new show in the works. he was in Wolverine and the X-men cartoon, he was in all 3 fantastic four cartoons, had games for both movies, another game for just the character itself, numerous old school games, was in all three marvel vs capcoms, plus a few other fighting games. Both ultimate alliances, plus numerous other media.

Yeah, its not an opinion Hulk objectively has more exposure.

Actually, Hulk has more. Like a long running tv show. Two live-action, big budget feature films. Is regularly treated as the strongest member of the team in EMH.

They're even talking about him getting ANOTHER tv show.

Come on son.

I agree.

Non comic books fans know who the Incredible Hulk is, when you ask them about thor, they will point to the Norse God of thunder. Hulk always had more exposure, this isn't even debateable.

Carver think of it this way, more exposure means more popular.

Yeah, I know...Jalek made some good points so I'm done with the topic.

Nice to see that you conceded the point.

Also, while I still plan on seeing the Avengers, I'm disappointed to be able to verify pretty much everything Rage (and others) have said about the movie and its plot. Whedon made it very clear that this is a "definitive Hulk movie" as much as it is a team film.

Spoiler:
It's not totally bad. Thor also busted a cage supposedly made for Hulk incase he turns rogue on the helicarrier...granted he did it in the last minute while the cage plummeted to earth. Andddd... Cap blocking a casual hit from mjolnir send shockwaves to level a good bit of the forest they were fighting on. If there is anyone who looks rather weak compared to their initial portrayal among the big 4(including hulk), i'd have to say Cap. He doesn't seem to show the same incredible strength anymore when punching the Chitauri that threw off hydra soldiers in the first movie when they connected.
