dude no disrespect but if you dont know much about arm locking and join manipulation techniques dont pretend you do, Lol at TKD locks, TKD is useless even as a standing fighting technique let alone its locksin this scan we see him breaking the arm by actually going force vs force and basically push the elbow all the way back until it pops, this is not a technique at all this is stupid, a technique is when you effectively and easily able to manipulate a joint or any other body part by driving it in the right angle against the direction its suppose to go with minimum effort, the move in this scan was actually a move that takes a lot of force to aply and doesnt make any sense when you got much easier techniques to work with

your post seems to be extremely disrespectful.
I happen to have bn a TKD martial artist and taught classes as well as women self defense courses. I know what I am referring to when I said it looks similar to a TKD move that I know and taught. I also happen to have bn in the Marines and trained in McMap.
Do me a favor and keep your ignorance to yourself.
I happen to have learned more than one form of Martial arts.

TKD's focus isn't even joint manipulation and arm locking.....
Some of the first arm bars I learned starting in MA were from the military (my training partner was a ranger)...then when I actually started not to suck I learned the more advanced ones.

It doesnt mean we dont have them or teach them further up the color belt rank.you can go online and buy a TKD training instructor books, i think u might be surprised on the arm and joint manipulations.
No doubt that some schools do them, but it certainly isn't there focus or where I would go to refine any sort of joint locking technique.

my dojo was run by a Korean trained 8th degree black belt from career. he was very strict and old school in his teachings.
our arm breaks, joints started at green belt and they were 4 moves at a time.
wrist breaks, finger/thumb breaks and it got progressive to arm breaks, hyper extension.
I agree it isnt the main focus of repetitive training compared to kicking and punching but it becomes more repetitive once u get to higher rank especially if u are a black belt and instructor.
than we start with eye gouges, temple strikes, throat crushing etc etc..
I mean we really dont want to be teaching that stuff to 3 yr olds and ppl who have less than a year of TKD training who view it as some sort of aerobics class and take it just as seriously as if they were taking yoga at the Y..
