Black Panther clearly wasn't trying to beat the hell out of his wife. Clearly.

They broke up a completly different way in the main AvX series. Black Panther himself anauled the marriage after Namor destroyed most of his homeland. Storm was upset about hearing the news and was hoping he would change his mind while BP was all cold-blooded to her.

I could understand T'Challa's change of heart...his thought bubbles showed that he needed to annul the marriage for political purposes not personal ones..I think Storm got pissed after she realized T'Challa had a defense protocol for her, so that explains her change.
