Lol, still on that zombie Dragon shit?

Superman benched the planet for 5 days casually but he didn't look anywhere near that strong later in the issue. It's unusual for such an inconsistency to occur in the same comic but whatever, shit happens.

Classic Drax had more impressive feats and Thor/Superman are stronger than him.

Why it's noteworthy to me is because for a long time DC had an unspoken rule about their Top Tiers moving planetary bodies regularly due to not wanting to go back to the Pre-Crisis shit. It was kind of stupid but whatever. For example, Joe Kelly had Majestic rearranging the Solar System and he would probably be unable to do that at the time with Superman due to editorial without a powerup but I have no doubt that he considered Clark to be stronger when push comes to shove.

I liked Philosophia's theory that H'el is probably a future renegade incarnation of Superman himself.

He showed time-travel in this issue too. Yep, considering his clothing is a tattered superman uniform and his cape its certainly possible. Might be a red herring too.

Its not inconsistent though. Superman getting overpowered by a mile long kryptonian monster is not drax getting chumped by captain mar-vell.

Classic Drax had more impressive feats and Thor/Superman are stronger than him.

Two different cases. Drax was momentarily downed by mar-vell in the same issue where he destroyed a planet and a sun and mar-vell took three of his punches to the chin and didn't even move. This case is different because it was noted from the beginning that the creature's durability was shit due to it being dead.

That was stupid I agree.

He can seemingly mess on a molecular/genetic level. He was sort of disassembling Kon before the Titans showed up if memory doesn't fail me.

Abhi, where was it stated that its durability was faltering due to decay?

That seemed to be something only assumed by readers.

It's durability wasn't actually shit at all, seeing as it survived a small mountain busting punch, and then got killed only by a large explosion that would go beyond small mountain sized. (seeing as the thing is a mile long, its already small mountain sized in and of itself, and the explosion was far larger than itself).

Fellow Super freaks, don't be so easily baited facepalm

Why is this argument popping up again?

Superman stated that its DNA is decaying due to being dead. Its durability wasn't proportionate to its strength as like regular kryptonians seeing how superman survived the explosion unscathed.

Guys, this isn't the place for this.

I didn't really see any inconsistencies in that issue. He hit it with a punch to destroy a mountain, obviously he didn't want to hit it way too hard or he might damage the Earth. And the thing itself was Kryptonian and thus was getting powers from the yellow sun. Probably was weaker than Superman since it just arrived and Supes had been absorbing solar energy for longer.

No he didn't. Superboy was utterly owned by Hel in his own book.

Wonder how many days THAT guy could bench press Earth ...?

a question that will fallow every character that hurts superman

That dragon thing was weird, but considering over everything now, it wasn't actually an inconsistent creature at all.

It was only ko'd by a 'small mountain busting' punch from Superman --Which is fair, the thing literally was the size of a small mountain as it towered over skyscrapers and Dr. Veritas confirms its size more concretely by saying it was a mile long.

And then gets killed by a giant oil explosion--granted, at first mention this simply sounds pathetic, but considering how big the thing was and how big the explosion was in comparison (the dragon barely took up any space in the panel with the explosion, which took up the majority of the panel), you come to realize that an explosion of that size would be roughly on par with a modest sized nuke in output.

depends on the height of those buildings. the great pyramid of khufu is just under 500 feet tall and a little bit wider at the base, so it's around a 30-40 floor building's height give or take, and the base is large enough for maybe 4 side by side in a usual cityscape

and that's a very modest nuclear explosion. very
