He grabbed Thor by his cape from behind and tossed him. Thor was clearly confused as to what was happening as well.

He's not actually referring to outerspace by space but to distance between him and his target in general.

If that's the case, then Thor DOES have legit superspeed as when he fought Wolverine, he was able to keep up and even managed to grab Wolvie's foot and throw him away. sneer
