That wasn't the real ultimate Silver Surfer that Cap fought. That was just a replica (among many) that Gah Lak Tus copied from the original ultimate Surfer. The original ultimate Silver Surfer eventually shows up later on in ultimate FF4.

Oh I love when they revealed the real silver surfer in the ultimate books. Loved how they couldn't really touch him when compared to the copies who got all types of torn up by the ultimates.

Yeah the replicas of Surfer were weaksauce. The real ultimate Surfer was pretty beastly though.

idk it seemed like he got tired of pretending to be on F4's level but then got annoyed and actually tired.

Yeah I think so. Marvel seemed like they wanted portray their Ultimate universe with a little more "realism" than their mainstream one. "Silver Surfer" probably sounded too goofy.
