You know, back in the day to "own" was to hit someone with a crippling blow. That was usually either dressing someone down with your superior skill and/or abilities or to lay down a comment so witty and sound that any reply was rendered null. Sometimes they're even combined. But it wasn't calling someone a jerk or disagreeing with someone.

Also, that clip booboo posted is like the ultimate over the top 80's fight scene. It even ends in puns. Two of them!
